even bigger credit to lampard, after the QPR Norwich games, changed how we defended, so much better now, 3 of our 5 ( rushworth included ) would start in the prem just need a LB and someone next to,ThomasEspecially if you recall our dodgy start where we couldn’t defend a set piece, and then take that out of the equation.

You realise it’s all one team right? We need two CBs and a LB next season. Plus a replacement for Rushworth if he doesn’t stay. The defence isn’t close to PL ready. They are helped massively by playing in a side that dominates games and wins the ball high up and by having two out and out DMs in front and a PL class GK behind that makes the headline stats look far better than they should. The complete opposite to the Robins playoff defence that protected Wilson.
Weve been harsh yes , we played a very high line and attacked relentlessly early season with high fullbacks , left us very exposed especially through midfield but we wouldnt be where we are now without that style .I know we’ll need better next season but have we been a bit harsh on ours, joint best in the league

This isn’t American football where the defence and attack are separate sets of players.
The side dominates games partly due to the ability of our defenders.
Yes lm the one saying it’s one team and that our defenders are being helped out by our dominance not holding back wave after wave of attacks. Genuinely have you looked into adult learning classes for reading?

I think he would progress even more with a dominant centre back with him he is definitely our best centre back and as I say with a commanding partner they could form a very much tighter defence and a speedy left back too, no disrespect to Jay but he would have to go to hospital every week to get a new arse in the premThomas is a powerful player. I think we need someone with more pace and composure to compliment him.
Yeah but but not in the recent past blah blah, feckin moron's when will it be learnt that you can't start in November,we took that lesson on board to great effect!
We’ve tightened up at the back the last few games to get us over the line and we stopped scoring, expect the next 3 games for us to go back to what we were good at, just scoring more than you, do it in style Tuesday
We’re on track to match our defensive record from 22/23 when Wilson only won the golden glove because of our defence.Yes lm the one saying it’s one team and that our defenders are being helped out by our dominance not holding back wave after wave of attacks. For context, xGA was 56 in 22/23, this season it’s 47.
Ultimately, defensive records in the championship don’t count for much in the Prem next season. See Burnley compared to Sunderland and Leeds last season.
