If we can’t get Rushworth.. I would love us to go for Lukas Hornicek from Braga.. might be a tad unrealistic as he’s been great in their Europa League run, but prem money talks
I like that.

I dont think he would cost as much as Rushworth. I'll pass this onto Frank and Doug.

Good news is Brighton seems to shopping around for a new keeper and the fact Carl hasn’t played to flight yet might be a risk for them. I can see a situation where they loan him to us for a season in the prem if they’re not going to sell to see how he does.

Reports they’re also looking at Manuel Neuer!! Rushworth deal may be on the cards hopefully

Personally I'd need to see more than one good season in the Championship to know its not just a bit of a fluke but I don't think I'd be so bold to say no better than what we have either. Some of his finishes have been fantastic, another season of the same and he absolutely is better.
The difference is, we’ve created more chances than Swansea but our strikers haven’t finished them all. He may well have done better and have more goals than both Haji and Ellis.

If Brighton sign a 40 year old Manuel Neuer (which they won’t), I’d think it more likely they’d be doing that because want an experienced senior goalkeeper for 1 year to mentor Rushworth as their number 1 with Verbruggen leaving. A continental Scott Carson, a Karl Wagensohn if you will.

Is there a world where we keep Wilson for the same reason that Man City have Scott Carson?

Based on this season i'm sure he would have. I'm the one that's semi-defending the guy against those saying he's not good enough. He might well be, but it's personal preference that i'd like to see that for more than one season. One season wonders do exist.

@Saddlebrains is claiming someone in the champ wants to pay money for him so probably not with a year to go

Neuer is not going to sign for Brighton to be there number 2

A lot of players have seasons they are incapable of replicating, some just have patches in seasons, not even a full one. I'm not qualified to be able to tell if someone is likely to be a one season wonder or not, but i am wary of one season wonders. If someone in the Prem decides to take the gamble then fair play to him. Gun to head i think he'll be consistently better than the likes of Campbell, Szmodics and Simms. Wright though?... not sure, lets see.
Vipotnik has also massively over performed xG which is a reason to be cautious. Generally, good finishers will outperform their xG but not by double (21 goals from 11.6 xG).

There are players who are consistently outliers but my first assumption is that they probably had a career year. If they do it for 2-3+ years, then they’re clearly just good at what they do (e.g. long shot specialists).

He isn’t going to sign for them at all, but my suggestion was more that he’d be a transitional signing as Rushworth is blooded as a Premier League number 1. I think Neuer will end up in MLS.

Heard a whisper today we've enquired about Pierce Charles from Wednesday
My mate who supports Wednesday told me this a couple of days ago too. Not sure i believe it. He is a good young keeper but a risky one to be going into a Prem season with. I still believe we'll land Rushworth.

I guess we will want Dovin playing next season. Out on loan in the Champo or abroad. So we probably will see 2 GKs signed, unless we keep Wilson.

I would hope he would be replacing Wilson and be back up/competition for Rushworth
I think he's a keeper that needs to go somewhere he'll be playing tbh, although we'll need someone as a number 2 as i think Dovin could do with a loan too.

It's the same trajectory as vik,let the Portuguese fight over his signature, that replication will bite you on the bum!

Wilson would be a number 3 i would think so your point stands anyway.

Are Wednesday still in the position where they have to accept any "reasonable" fee due to the administrators? Or does that finish when the season ends ?
Lets be honest, they'll be a League One club and they'll be starting from scratch. I don't think they are in a position to demand a huge fee anyway. Only way that happens is if there is a bidding war, in which case fair play to them, they should take the most the can get.
