No I didn’t. Talk about twisting my words. I said I couldn’t see any other way forward than a phoenix club.

Think about this logically please ffs. Why would I want the club I’ve supported since a kid to go out of existence?

You’re giving the impression that you think people who put down sick pets want them to die.
I expected the club to be liquidated at some point. There was nothing physical left of the old club.
I wanted it to happen, as I saw it as the only way to have a functioning club to support going forward

I enjoyed the dark days in a strange way. Not what was happening to our club, but having to find on a map where it was we were playing and ending up in some dilapidated stand. Going to places I'd never been before then hoped I'd never go again. Meeting genuine supporters of other clubs where their dream is to spend a season in the Championship.

Cultivated my sons love of city and made friends that I still go to away games with to this day.

Will always look back on them with fondness, and the despair they often induced is what makes today all the more sweeter.

Let’s not forget the reaction when someone asks you who you support and then says didn’t you win the FA Cup once. Jimmy Hill will be looking down today (is it just me or does Grimesy have a bit of a resemblance) with a smile that we are heading back to where we belong.

My little boy went to his first game in Italy when he was 3. Spent half the game taking him to the toilet 😆 Several players took the time to say hello to him but he was only interested in having a chat with a young player of ours who was Maddison.

By the time he was 6 I was taking him frequently. All he has known is our way back up the football league and improving every season. There's been promotions and trips to Wembley. I'm wondering how he is going to take next season.

Cam we delete this thread please. We don't need this decisive nonsense, there was plenty of that during the SISU/CCC/Wasps/Higgs years. Things are great, and let's all just enjoy it.

Where were you when members of the Sky Blue Trust were advocating liquidation and starting again with a phoenix club because that’s how much they hated the owners of the time NOPM
It irks me so much that Moz Baker was so much in the councils pocket and he was willing to let the club die. Yet featured on the ITV news video and now sits and watches games FOC in the media box doing radio commentary for the hospital! Literally riding the coat tails of the club he'd rather see dead than have SISU.

Had a season ticket for nearly 40 years bar Northampton when I went to every game on the hill and 90% of away games.
Went to Brum a few times as a helper but never paid.....

Tbh supporting Liverpool before is forgivable and I hate Liverpool, but for going to Wasps games he deserves for every shit he ever takes to be a hedgehog. Couldn't be mates with anyone who did that. Even if they're rugby fans (or rugger buggers) they'd know the damage that was doing to our club and could have supported an alternative.

People that watched the insects, but had never been to or knew what Butts Park Arena was.

been going since '94, had ST's at HR and watched decline, Sixfields (good pies), St Andrews (medium pies) saw wasps take it over stamp on our badge and have seen Ricoh/CBS rise from the empty shell of a stadium to what it is today.

I wouldnt wish the last 25 years on any football fans, but what a ride.

Fair play to everyone that's going now.
It's a much better experience than rattling around a two thirds empty bowl. I hope I never experience that again.
It’s so crazy. Me and my Dad used to book tickets knowing we could pretty much sit wherever we wanted in the ground. Now we’re selling out in 20 mins. I agree we don’t want to go back to 2013-16, but it’s also the period we laugh most about now looking back.

The days that you could walk round the ground at HT so could always be sat at the end of the ground we were attacking. and you'd always get that one steward that'd say, youre not sat in the right seat like it really matters mate!

Me too. Went to some quaint old grounds where you could enjoy a pint in any pub with no problem. Yep, call me a masochist but I enjoyed my league1/2 away days….
