“There is also strong interest from within the EFL, with Coventry City and Ipswich Town – both targeting Premier League football next season – keeping a close eye on his situation.”

Why would he sign a contract extension until 2030?

It’s not a question in reality - whoever he thinks won’t make it has to be moved on .

I don’t think any of the players I listed can compete in the top division but I also don’t think Lampard will move them all on …. If you do then fair enough

What is your opinion of a young player called cher ndour at fiorentina ?

Good scout report , Big powerful italian and young wouldnt cost a bomb

Man city once interested
Haven't watched him mate, but certainly think a few of our signings need to fit in this category.

Look at Southampton who went down, sold Fernandes for £40m.

Need to really have a faultless window, with a mix of experience, loans and overseas potential

Guess we'll see a tonne of late deals this year with the WC on.

Players hope their stock will rise during it- and focus on that before looking at moves afterwards. Remember prem managers moaning about slow activity in WC years previously

It will be a real insight into Lampard as a manager.

Does he stay loyal to players he clearly enjoys working with but probably can’t cut it in a league above ….. BTA, Kitch, Simms, Eccles, Woolf spring to mind …. Or is he more ruthless and moves them on
Lampard isn't an idiot. He played at the very top for most of his career. He knows his future as a football manager depends on next season. If we stay up bigger clubs will start looking at him. There's no room for sentiment.

He made good choices this season on who to keep and who to let go. He sold Sheaf who was our captain. I trust him to do the right thing again.

I caught part of a podcast he does and he said that he knew he could raise £10 million already on sales this summer (I think from 2 players) but he had no desire to do so as he wanted to give the manager the best opportunity he could an that meant keeping their best talent .

If he’s available for £10m I wouldn’t mind him

I was literally going to post this, I would snap there hand off and get Delap on loan as Chelsea are apparently open to loan him out.
