Notice Lincoln had a "thing" yesterday after confirming promotion away at Reading.

View attachment 50468
They were "as good as" promoted on Friday (huge goal difference over Bolton in 3rd - our Sheffield Weds scenario)
They were officially promoted AT Reading yesterday - only needed a point but got a 93rd minute winner!!.

You get the "promoted" flags banners......
Then the Champions ones if it happens later

Tbf our defence do as a rule defend well, create and weigh in with the lower amount of goals you'd expect them to. In terms of personel, Jones coming back from injury for next season is a big plus as he was a brilliant CB and played every game for the first half of the season until he got crocked. Lenihan returning and being given a year's contract extension is a "possible."

I'd agree with your weighing up of the goalkeeper situation however. Brynn is merely adequate at championship level and would be a perfect fit for a side planning to scrape into the playoffs around 8th, but while there's plenty in this league worse than him, he has an error in him and he's nothing special.

He's not our first priority to upgrade (striker(s) would have made all the difference this year & a Hackney replacement obviously) but it's one of those that would certainly be a strong asset to have to give us a watertight spine. Thankfully Keepers aren't usually the most expensive players comparatively.
Banking on you going up! faltering on the last step is not the best! thats as bad as a penalty shootout if you ask me. If you dont go up use the Money from Hackney wisely. We would not be where we are today without the Gyoreres & Hamer money!

The ipswich game is massive for you , problem is theyve lost once at home in 40 odd games
This season they have only lost once at home, 0-3 against Charlton. They have also drawn 7 which were mainly against lower down sides. They're getting exactly 2PPG at home.

We're averaging over 2PPG over the whole season including away games.

Wrexham v Saints tonight. I want a Wrexham win, as I think Saints could win the play offs and would be a big threat in the PL (position wise v us) Wrexham, I don't think would win the play offs, and although they'd probably spend mega if they were promoted, I just think they will get edged out in the play offs, so hopefully not an issue!

Bit long winded to get accross your Welsh bias

His attempted break bobbys ankle in the derby game
I get why people think that, especially from still images. But nearly all the force in the challenge was Bobby clearing the ball out, and his leg smashed up onto the underside of the Derby guy's foot rather than the other way around. Yes it could have resulted in a bad injury, but if so it would have been a nasty accident not a deliberate breaking of someone's ankle.

I realise this will get mocked, but that's just how I saw it. The way you've put it makes the guy out to be an evil piece of work, and if so yeah he deserves to miss his out on his World Cup dreams. It's not how I saw the incident or the demeanour of the player.

This is as wrong as you opinion on the pen Haji should have been awarded against Ipswich.

This is what the perfect scenario looks like for me now

Sheff Wed- All but confirm promotion with a win (Then others win later)

Blackburn - Officially confirm promotion with a win

Portsmouth - Win the title

Wrexham - Lift the trophy

Watford - Final day send off for Wilson, Allen, Bidwell etc, watch the others scrabbling around for 2nd/playoffs, Leicester relegated, general party atmosphere.

Wilson, Allen and Bidwell leaving makes me sad 😭

Completely understandable given the situation for them to leave. Players like them have set the culture of the club to what it is now and deserve a nice send off

We shouldn’t be letting Wilson play instead of Rushworth

Fair enough, it's just opinions and I don't mind. I cannot rejoice about a professional footballer missing his home World Cup, regardless.

You've clearly got a good memory regarding the other one! Was that the one where I agreed with the ref who was a few yards away?
