Wonder how often it happens to other teams? Guess 4 years would be above the average.

It’s normally the dubious ones that are saved. I think psychologically the player feels they shouldn’t be scoring it, and the goalkeeper is more determined to put things right.
(Unfortunately, this science didn’t happen correctly yesterday)

Not only do our keepers not save them, they never dive the correct way either!

Yes in normal play not in a shootout.

In shootouts, Dovin saved one against Sheff Wed in the FA Cup last season.
Collins saved one against Man Utd at Wembley.

Apart from Wilson's save against West Brom in 2022, you would have to go back to our League 2 days where a Cov keeper (Burge) saved a penalty.

It was.

Since promotion back to the Championship, that has been the only unsuccessful penalty against us. It's been annoying me for a while.

In that first season back, we conceded something like 11 penalties, too.

Even the two penalty shoot outs that we faced up until the Cup semi had 100% success rates against us. Then Casimero wafted one so ineffectively that even Brad Collins was able to save it.
