We were in control when we scored, but then they had that 15-20 min spell at the end of the first half when they were in full control

Second half was pretty much all us and we thoroughly deserved the win

Yeah, it's a bit of a weird take to think they deserved to win.

They were the better team in the first half, and they're a good side, but second half they were second best by a good distance.

To be honest, we should’ve won by 3-4 goals. That penalty shouldn’t have been. Eccles bottled 2 great chances and in general, 3-2 seems like an unfair reflection of how the game actually went.

They had 2 shots the whole 2nd half so this is obviously nonsense.

We went 1-0 up with a ‘freak’ goal so yeah, they probably will outscore us on xG because they were chasing and they got a penalty (which shouldn’t have been).

FL post match reaction was spot on, we let them dictate how the game was played in the 1st half. 2nd half we took more control and created 4 or 5 really big chances and took 2 of them to win it.

That said, I went down for a half time pint around 42+ minutes so missed their 2 best chances of the half (apparently).

The angle in that replay is basically the angle that the ref had. I have no idea how he couldn't see that the ball changed direction off rushworth.

Spot on but - for no better reason than I liked him as a player and I think he’s a good manager - I will give him the benefit of the doubt. I think his post-match comments were more about keeping the spirits of his players up for the run-in while they still have a chance of making the playoffs.

I do not understand this. When I watch a football match, I watch an entire football match.

Especially weird in a game like yesterday's, when the result's in the balance for the entire game.
