We will win at hull
We should be so hyper confident now going into that game and must be feeling pretty invincible.

Draw wouldn't be too bad, but fancy a win , especially with Rudoni and Wright now back and Lati and EMC should be able to slot back in too you would have thought

Can field a really, really strong side

Go full strength and then rotate for Sheff W

Really don't get the 100% promotion. To be 100% we have to already be promoted and we're not.

Give the likelihood of the games left and the gap, 99.99%. But it can't be 100.00%
This is what gives statistics a bad name, it's probably a rounding up issue, below 100 but too small to register. Either that or they have run the forecasts through a computer, say, 10000 times and it has shown no result other than us being promoted.

It's based off simulations. They'll usually do 10,000 or so and it means that we get promoted in every single one of those simulations.
They are predicting second place 82 points so moving onto 83 has in there mind guaranteed promotion

Thought it a bit early seeing 2 blokes selling Champions scarfs near the island.

nobody seemed to be buying and rightly so until we actually win the league.
Yeah. I am waiting for the "100 points, 100 goals" ones to come out .

I'll buy one of those instead.

Interesting. That's called Monte Carlo simulation and it's advanced stuff. I would never have guessed it was used for football.

I am loving the thought of watching the chaos of the run in and the playoffs themselves with zero pressure riding on it.

Same. Every single championship play off since 2002 I’ve watched with jealousy, or more recently with nerves.

Will be great to watch the playoffs with a feeling of superiority

We will be mathematically promoted if we beat Sheff Wed next Saturday, but only if:

We beat Hull
Boro drop points at Swansea
Millwall drop points against either Norwich on Monday, or Baggies Friday night.
More than plausible imo

You have to fancy Millwall at home I guess but Norwich are no mugs and Morrison has turned WBA round a bit and they will still be scrapping for points

Entirely possible that Boro drop points away to Swansea as well

Now wouldn't that be a nice way to spend out Saturday:love:

And Ellis becomes a £7.5m player?

I spoke to him briefly and said he was a bit premature. He wasn't even a Cov fan so at least it's not one of our own being so stupid.

Some real funky shit has to happen for us to not go up given that 91 points guarantees promotion. If Millwall and Boro fail to win on Monday, we can secure promotion v Sheff Wednesday because their max points tally would be 87-88 and beating Hull then Sheff Wednesday takes us to 89.

The model must be something like 99.99999% and they’ve just rounded up because as you say, 100% chance of promotion should mean it’s mathematically done and dusted.

If Millwall win on Monday but don't beat WBA on Friday same situation by if we win at Hull a win against Sheff Wed would make it mathematical

That’s plausible imo. Millwall’s record against the bottom teams isn’t that great. They’ve lost to Blackburn and Pompey in recent weeks so imo, Ipswich are still in the driver’s seat for automatic promotion.

The teams below us will drop points so the current 91 points for guaranteed automatic promotion will slide down to probably 85-87 in the coming weeks. Whilst it isn’t mathematically guaranteed (yet), the job is basically done.

Coincidentally if we win and Boro lose Monday that’s them officially out of the equation as far as we’re concerned.

Ipswich only getting 1 point in their next 2 would mean one of those 2 doesn’t need to happen (won’t happen because blues are shite)
