I really do not think a hotheaded Italian who has thrown his teddies out the pram in his last two jobs is really what Tottenham need at this current moment in time

The logical choice for me, would`ve been Allardyce.

As obnoxious as he is and as limited as he is, keeping teams up with a limited amount of games is what he`s good at.

He`d have taken a short, very well paid contract, with a bonus for keeping them up and had nothing to lose if they went down, as " the damage was already done before he got here ".

De Zerbi is a real head scratcher, as he`s not known for being a manager who is touchy feely and getting players who are fragile and suffering from an acute lack of confidence, playing again.

They considered Dyche to do that sort of job but he wanted a longer contract. De Zerbi has flipped on wanting to wait until he knows what league they’ll be in which I assume has come with the offer of even bigger wages. Personality wise it’s an odd choice but he does know how to drill players into a tactical system.

If they go down it’ll be another big pay off. If somehow Spurs go down and Man City get the rumoured 60 point deduction either this season or next, our survival prospects go up massively.

I think they stay up with thomas frank , probably wouldnt have been pretty but the logical thing to do would have been to sack him at the end of the season ORRRR do the radical thing of giving a manager time .

Theyve had some huge names fail in recent years

For all their vitriol towards him, I find it very hard to believe that Daniel Levy would have let Spurs get into this mess at the bottom of the table had he still been running the club

They would have been fine with Big Ange as well I reckon, but writing off the league campaign did for him.

As big a shock as Lesta winning the title if they went down.

I think one of the problems is that the current owners don't see it as just a football club & don't run it that way. It all seems to be about the stadium & what they can attract to it. There must be loads of Spurs fans wishing they hadn't got rid of Levy
