Promotion not confirmed yet I know but you’re there. Most consistent and overall best team in the league this season. Thoroughly deserved.

Obviously I would rather it was my team Ipswich and I’m still optimistic about our chances of joining you but us aside you are the club I would have wanted to go up. A proper club, decent fans and I know you’ve all been through a lot supporting your team over the past 20 years. Enjoy and hope to see you in the Premier League next season!

When you beat us at Cov I thought you would really come to the party but you have shown yourselves to be very lukewarm. Boro though have left the door open for you-time to put your foot on the gas for the last 7-8 games.

I’m not a frequent visitor so don’t know @Ipad Boro but I’m not here for your love. its just that after experiencing the lows of league one and then the highs of successive promotion I have some idea as to how you’re all feeling tonight so wanted to say well done.

It’s going to the wire between us, Boro and Millwall (they were good today, especially second half). We’ve got Norwich and Southampton away and haven’t been great this season away from home other than at your place where we put in our best away performance of the season. We play Boro at home on 18th April and I think the winner of that one will finish above the other. Anyway, what do you all care, your job is done!

We’ve done well this year but the damage was done in the first 6-8 weeks of the season.
A draw was fair today and we were very average against Wednesday last week but we’ve been decent since November. Robbed of an injury time pen against Hull a few weeks ago (I know we’re not alone there, the officiating this season has been abysmal) and on the wrong side of a shocking injury time penalty awarded against us when we played Stoke a few days later is what’s stopped us taking advantage. Fine margins. We aren’t setting the world alight but after the poor start every town fan would have settled for where we are now with a few games to go.

Going on our respective team's performances recently, it would be impossible to be to the death mind.

It would end up in an inevitable draw as we both seem fond of them of late.

Sounds about right! We’re playing well but aren’t clinical enough. We should have won the game in the first half today. We’re not alone in that though, someone mentioned on Radio Suffolk earlier that Boro are having a million shots a game and not scoring.

I’ve said this a few times now but it looks like both Ipswich and Boro are feeling the pressure more than Millwall who just look exceptionally well managed and more clinical than both teams.

My money is on them to make it up in second with a Boro/Ipswich/Southampton/AN Other in a group of death playoff.

It doesn’t feel that pressurised and the team play in a measured way. McKenna is calm 99% of the time (he lost it when we weren’t given a pen against Hull in injury time) and that radiates to the players. If anything at times we look too relaxed and don’t play with enough intensity.

Millwall played today like we did 2 seasons ago. Not in terms of the style of football but the way the team and their fans just seemed to be enjoying it. It’s going to be an exciting few weeks. I think we’ve just about got enough to get there. I don’t fancy us winning the play offs though, it’s automatic or nothing I reckon.

I say this with all due love and respect: fuck Ipswich and all their overpriced whiny diving cunty players and I hope anyone but you come up with us. Nothing personal you’ve just assembled the squad with the highest arsehole ratio known to man.
If they clinch autos by the single bonus point they got at Blackburn, whoever comes third will rightly be livid

Correct, we're like you on steroids, in all cases.

Playing fucking awesomely across the park,, seriously there's no better team to watch in the league for our play in 80% of the pitch, but as soon as it gets in the opponents box (which happens regularly) our strikers close in with all the verve of the childhood Forrest Gump if he had his calipers replaced by lead diving boots.

Bloody useless. What a decent striker would add to this team is unfathomable.

Robbie the Mole is incorrect though. We actually have a lot of shots and have the highest xA in the top 4 (xG - xGA) by far of late as the rest of our play will frequently put us in those positions.

We just completely lack someone to toe end the bugger between the posts. Or, just for the luck factor kicking us in the nuts as well, the odd occasion from the many it is on target (rarely) the opposing goalkeeper will pull a worldie from his bag.

For me both yourselves and Ipswich sometimes overplay and would rather win pretty than just win .
When we were flying at the start of the season we were just playing our football in the right areas of the pitch , it didn't matter how many passes or how soon it got there .
We went through our sticky patch and Lampard to his credit spotted the sort of characters in the squad who could win ugly and graft an ugly 1-0 win .
I just don't ever get the feeling from Boro or Ipswich that they will make that substance over style sacrifice

I was going to ask why you let Burgzorg go out on loan, then saw he's scored 7 league goals in nearly 2 seasons. I had in my mind that he was a pretty useful player.

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick. Fair play, you can understand the frustration at least, our own forum at the mo is kind of like on here just before you played us last.

But I'm chilled and there's no argument going on between myself and the Tractors' lad whatsoever. I'm frustrated as said with our strikers' collective performance, but I haven't an axe to grind with him at all, it's hardly Ipswich's fault that our forwards are letting the rest of our side down after all, and he seems pretty sound.

My comments are more in jest at ourselves than anything else, if a fan can't do that then he'd probably go nuts.

Chill level....3/10......To be fair, with 8 teams qualifying for the playoffs next season - you'll be good ;)
I jest. I hope you join us. Decent club. Us, You, Millwall. X x

I’ve been of the view for a while now that the winner of Ipswich v Boro will get 2nd place.

Boro missed their chance to really stake their claim after they overtook us. Since we battered them, it’s all gone downhill for them. It’s all well good earning plaudits for battering QPR 4-0 (impressive as it was), but it all goes out of the window when you lose to Charlton at home.

In the words of Heath Ledgers Joker...“Now, our operation is small, but there's a lot of potential for 'aggressive' expansion. So, which of you fine Gentlemen would like to join our team? Oh, there's only one spot open right now, so we're gonna have... tryouts.”

😂 Harsh but I couldn’t care less what other teams fans think of our team any more than you give a stuff what others think of yours. What I can tell you is that the team who won back to back promotions were loved, not just because of results (although that’s a big part) but the connection between players, fans, manager and owners was unlike anything I’ve experienced in nearly 50 years as a supporter. Morsy, Chaplin, Broadhead, Luongo, Woolfy (blotted his copybook with a few salty comments since leaving), Hladky, Donacien are up there for many with our great teams of the past who won major trophies.

Premier League riches and the safety net of parachute payments meant that a lot changed quickly. Everyone of those mentioned was replaced. Most are objectively better footballers but we lost more than we have gained in the views of many. We’re now on our third team in three years - the promotion team, the premier league team (the main frustration was we weren’t even competitive in the prem and so the feeling was that those who got us there may as well have had the chance they earned) and the current one. So many changes mean all that was built up in 2 years has been lost. Players come in who are clearly there for the money and with no genuine love for the club. You’re likely to experience the same. When your club spend £10m, £15m £20m on a player it will blow your mind. When they then turn out to be not a huge upgrade on the player you’ve shared success with it feels odd. They’re your player, you want to get behind them but it’s hard when you see a mercenary who has replaced a favourite who worked his bollocks off for a fraction of what they’re being paid.

You say that, but Woolf played 15 games in the Prem, Chaplin 22, Morsy 33, Broadhead 18…players from the season before played big parts in the Prem. The problem from the outside was in recruiting a Championship dream team (which is what you still have this season) you fall into the trap many others have before and many others will after.

As for this CCFC team, people aren’t oblivious to the fact that there will be a lot of player turnover and there’s a big challenge to strike a balance between maintaining some sort of continuity which has served us very well since Robins’ appointment and having players with the quality needed for a fair crack at staying up. The number of people myself included trying to ‘lock in’ the good feelings now are a reflection of people knowing this may well be as good as it gets.

Isn't your problem this season that you have too many good players & easily the best squad in the championship but McKenna doesn't know his best 11 & keeps changing the team most weeks? Where was Kipre yesterday, I thought he was superb for you at the CBS?

A lot of sites actually have you outperforming your xg and sitting 4th or 5th in the league for XG.

Opta has your your xg around 54 and you have 59 goals scored seems a bit strange but apparently true.
