Brown kit?
Was at Albion when they scored 7.I feel bad for you. Nice kit though.
Think my biggest away defeat was 5-1 at Sheff Wed about 25 years ago!
Red tramlinesBrown kit?
NaaBrown kit?
Naa testing memory now..green & black stripes ..thinkBrown kit?
If that's the game I'm thinking of, in 1977, a client took me to see Man City thrash Chelsea (with a young Ray Wilkins in midfield) that same afternoon which left me in good spirits until I saw our result at Everton. Long miserable drive home from Manchester that day.Currently watching “The Big Match Revisited” on ITV4. Latest score Everton 5 Coventry 0. Hopefully not a portent of things to come!
Draw best for us with the Ipswich game.Next week then….
Obviously Cov & Blackburn to win. I can see both happening to be honest.
Ipswich vs Millwall?
Is the draw the best scenario?
Or do we want Millwall to take the points?
I'd of took a point yesterday, I said this before the gameDraw best for us with the Ipswich game.
I’d take a point at Swansea.
Yeah same, and we did more than enough to deserve one imo.I'd of took a point yesterday, I said this before the game
Maybe, but it would be good if the three below took points off each other.Draw best for us with the Ipswich game.

If they all draw with each other it means they can all only gain a point or two if we slip up, as opposed to one team gaining three.Maybe, but it would be good if the three below took points off each other.
Ipswich, Millwall and Boro all play each other, so there would be advantage to be found if say Millwall beat Ipswich, but then lost to Boro, who then lost to Ipswich.
Them all taking points off each other would be our gain
Yup.If they all draw with each other it means they can all only gain a point or two if we slip up, as opposed to one team gaining three.
Ipswich are at home. They will win.Next week then….

Something the worrywarts have been saying about Ipswich every single week. And yet...Ipswich are at home. They will win.
They have failed to beat PNE and Lesta at home, it’s not an impenetrable fortress despite our best efforts to make it look like one.Something the worrywarts have been saying about Ipswich every single week. And yet...

Exactly.Something the worrywarts have been saying about Ipswich every single week. And yet...
I mean I'm pretty sure Rushworth is leading our MOTM table and is most people's POTS!When your goalkeeper is MOTM it’s generally best to pipe down with that shite.
You know what I mean: if we were shite then their keeper wouldn’t be MOTM.I mean I'm pretty sure Rushworth is leading our MOTM table and is most people's POTS!
But agreed there are some salty fans about. We have been the best this year bar a blip that was due to injury and illness for the most part.
Does my head in this talk of it being a particularly weak league this year, I don't buy it. Yes the parachute clubs have not done well but I actually think the level of the other teams has risen. The teams that came up from League 1 have all been competing. Only real shit shows are there because of mismanagement. The unfancied teams like Pompey, Charlton and Oxford are tricky opposition nowadays.
Yeah, having a decent keeper is part of being a good team. You know what I mean: if we were shite then their keeper wouldn’t be MOTM.
So two teams? We have lost to two teams too? They have failed to beat PNE and Lesta at home, it’s not an impenetrable fortress despite our best efforts to make it look like one.
CharltonSo two teams? We have lost to two teams too?
Genuine question I dunno who they have lost too at home this season
I love these things. But an even better post by a sheffield united fan that said if they had a better summer theyd be pissing the league
We're hopeful of that as it would stand us in great stead. You will only need to beat the Tractor boys and Millwall and that will be enough for you to hold at least 2nd
Very even? They only had 8 shots with 3 on target. Our GK only made 1 save. Their GK was very good. How was that very even?Yeah, having a decent keeper is part of being a good team.
But that game was very even yesterday and we weren't really firing on all cylinders.
Was that the night game with Debec in goal?I feel bad for you. Nice kit though.

Definitely a night game. Joachim scored for us.Was that the night game with Debec in goal?
Charlton did them 3-0So two teams? We have lost to two teams too?

I watched the highlights last night and couldn't get my head around how Strelec didn't score his one v one. If you weren't creating the chances though I'd be a lot more concerned, but you're making them in abundance. The issue isnt the low block, we are managing it fine and creating lots of chances. The issue is the dreadful finishing that is costing us. I am grateful for an away game, we seem much more likely to win away from home. Another early kick off, a huger following and another tough game. Blackburn will be full of confidence so it will be another tough game as they all will be.
Could do with a Millwall/Ipswich draw.
Then a short break to regain some sanity before the run in starts.
I think I must just see things differently from youVery even? They only had 8 shots with 3 on target. Our GK only made 1 save. Their GK was very good. How was that very even?
The second part of this post contradicts the first I think. A team can't both 'do a number' on another one while the other forces the keeper into multiple top class saves and misses a bunch of massive chances.I think I must just see things differently from youfootball isn't always about the shots and possession, evenly organised and both teams had quality players that can hurt the other team. I thought Saints did a number on us, had a game plan to win the midfield and disrupt us. They did what they set out to do. We were rightly praised when we switched it up to beat Boro. Only fair to acknowledge when that happens to us.
Even without their keeper having a worldie we missed a bunch of massive chances but for me that lowers our levels, we had more players off form it today yet we still probably should have won. Crucially they took theirs. Move on no drama here just one of those games.

Just about all the stats were in our favour except for goals scored. Yes they did a number on us by trying to get our players sent off and kept going into our players with studs showing. They got the luck in front of goal.I think I must just see things differently from youfootball isn't always about the shots and possession, evenly organised and both teams had quality players that can hurt the other team.
