Frustrating game - a draw probably would've been fair. Think we looked laboured and slow in possession all game, second to everything. Thought Grimes/Onyeka and then Torp when he came on were poor at showing for the ball - Eccles in the 10 works in some games but today wasn't one of those, it was crying out for Rudoni. Also should've gone long earlier and more frequently.

Enjoyed it being their cup final, pretty rapid fall from thinking they were gonna piss the league to shithousing a win that keeps them in 7th.

Today's had no real impact on the promotion race other than another game burned for the chasing pack.

Lampard referred to this in the interview. Obviously frustrating result, but what a complement to have a parachute team play such a negative game plan against us.

Wasn’t really our day today-bit of a bad day at the office but we nearly got an undeserved draw after deciding to start playing ten minutes from the end. I knew we’d lack fire power when it was the end for Wright and Simms just didn’t impose himself against a better team than Preston as he did on Wednesday night. Eccles just didn’t workout either and was rightly hooked on 50 odd.
Oh well, put it to bed and onto Swansea.

Deserved a draw imo but agree with the rest.

We deserved at least a draw

Enjoyed it being their cup final,
Thing is, we are going to be everyone's cup final between now and the end of the season....

Great that we created 5 clear cut chances (or whatever they are called on the stats) but we don't have anyone ruthless enough to put them away. Said it before, we are too nice at the top end of the pitch!
(And reflected in Esse and Simms piss poor pussy powder puff attempts at defending for their second)

We needed to score. No idea why we didn't leave Simms uo top!

This is mental. We're the leagues top scorers by a mile.

Rushworth will be pissed off with that second goal, bit of a shocker there.
Pissed off because 3 people make timid jumps and dont move towards the ball? Look at it in slow mo and watch Esse, Torp and Simms. Simms especially is embarrassing and then he gets infront of a shot on goal in the last minute and does the defenders work for them. Absolute braindead footballer stealing a living

Their keeper has had to pull off 3 worldies dude, notwithstanding that our finishing wasn’t great otherwise.

Yeah.. maybe a bit sensationalist, but I've said before, I'd love a striker with a bit of nastiness - and a goalscorers instinct... Honestly don't think Wright or Simms have that.
(Yes, they've scored a load of goals, but imagine if one of them did have that edge.... Yes ..they wouldn't be playing for us....I know...)

A very fair summary

I don't know where they found this ref, but wherever it was they need to send him back there.

I've seen some shit ones on my time. This prick is right up there.

Isn't he the ref that got demoted from the Premier League?

I thought we were the better team, but they got luck with 2 bounces and we were a foot away from goals 4 times. Plus, this was the right ref for them and the wrong ref for us.
