I think it comes from a similar place to ‘I’ve had heads on the last six coin tosses, so the next one must be tails’I really don't get the "we've won the last six so probably won't win this one" logic...

I don't think Boro, Hull and Millwall have gimmes.Boro, Ipshit, Hull and Millwall all have gimmes.... us winning on same weekend will be another nail in their collective coffins...

Surely based on the fact it's rare for a team to win 7 in a row.I really don't get the "we've won the last six so probably won't win this one" logic...
We have only won 7 of the last 14 ie 50%, our average wins for the season Is 62%, so by your reasoning we should win tomorrow.![]()

You know that’s not trueWe’ve never done it. First time for everything but each win becomes less likely when you’re on a streak.
They'll come for a win, they need itGoing to be a tough game, they will not come for a draw. We all know that you can lose to almost anyone in this league so you certainly can to a form team like Southampton.
We must expect to be under pressure for part of the game and just have to learn to live with it, Rushworth to the rescue on more than one occasion. We should win, but I would take a draw.
I suspect he'll go with Wright and Eccles for Simms and BTA. I thought Simms earned the chance to keep his place and prefer BTA's hustle and bustle around the box myself. I'd go back to Lati at the back as the defence was not exactly tested on Wednesday night. Think Frank will too.
Singers Corner was a bit quiet on Wednesday. Not surprising really as there was a distinct lack of dramatic tension, particularly in the second half. No excuse this time
Is it actually possible to win more than 2 back-to-back games? After the second game, both 'back's are facing each other, leaving only 'fronts'.We won 7 in a row in 1998 FA cup game we drew with Sheffield United was 8th game. Assuming we’ve never won that many back to back league
You know that’s not true
It doesIt absolutely is true. For footballing not statistical reasons though tbf. Players become over confident, opposition sets up more defensively.
Also if you think our streak matters then so does their unbeaten streak.
Why would anyone in their right mind be happy dropping 2 points at home to a team below us in the league????Yeah. Feel the same
Would be happy with a draw.
Was it when people were saying fuck the wasps and council?I think I did more defending Wednesday night than they did tbf.
