Embarrassment - Clubs like Stoke and WBA for example were in the Premier League a few years ago whilst we were slumming it in the third and fourth division and we have leapfrogged their places in the footballing pyramid

and Lampard - Teams have got some weird obsession with him because lets face it, he is a bigger name than probably every club in the division

Spurs are in the last 16 of the CL and *may* be a Championship team next year.

4 pages of the Stoke forum calling Lampard overrated and a wanker is great some copium mind you

Almost like an away end of 2500 mouthbreating, bald, toothless fat gammon Stoke fans can't hack it back up them after chanting at him for 90 mins:ROFLMAO:
There's sense in there, too.

When it comes down to it, so many football fans are precious little princesses crying at the slightest perceived sleight.

I laughed at the person who said he was an overrated player though. Hello, what, please?

I was in Sheffield this weekend. There was a group of Southampton fans staying in the same hotel, they were genuine football fans following them all over the country, they were very complementry about us and Lampard even liked the CBS. I wished them well except for 2 weeks time.
Funny how the only football tops I saw all weekend were theirs and the Cov top I was wearing.
Nice to be able to walk around in a football top with your head held high, they can say what they want but the table doesn't lie, l have also heard the comment of the league being shit, I say, ok it maybe shit but that would make your team even shitter then us.

You're only hated by everyone when your doing well, may it continue.

I dunno why people don't like him? Always seemed one of the most likeable English football stars . Not to mention such a great player
The Internet is a strange place. I remember the days when I knew of all the famous people or stars. These days I've hardly heard of any of them. And the women model themselves on Oriental Sweetlips and think they look great.

Most of it is jealousy. World class player and now has transformed little old Coventry City. After about 50 years of being told our ground is too big for us our place is rocking.

Wow some of the shit on there is unbelievable. Amongst the usual crap of we will get smashed in the prem and we are a lucky club from all the jealous little Stokies this one just about summed up this thread. I get the feeling from reading their forum that there is a sense of jealousness that they arnt as good as us under Robins and see Robins as hard done to by us replacing him with Lampard who they have turned their green eyed hate towards. Almost like the big sister sticking up for her llittle brother but making him look a twat.

”Lampard may prove be a decent manager, but I doubt it.
Right now, he's just a classless carpetbagger who hasn't built a damned thing himself.
If Coventry does hang on and go up? They will have their entire ass shorn from them in the PL next year.

That club doesn't have much in the way of "class" anyway, so little wonder that he ended up there.
It will be just another glorious meltdown as they are relegated and ultimately consumed by the FFP worms.
Coventry can have all the Lampard they want. Just keep him the f*ck away from Stoke”

Bias Disclaimer: Didn't like him as a player and damned sure don't like him as a manager. Ego.

Coventry have got to be one of the luckiest clubs in the Midlands.

No-one scores more last minute winners. No-one has finished one place above the relegation zone more times than Coventry. They won the FA Cup with a goal that deflected off Gary Mabbutt's knee and looped over Ray Clemence in goal.

Even when they went through all that shit with SISU and not having a stadium they won the League Two play-offs at the first attempt from fifth, also winning the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, they won League One when Covid curtailed the season.

In short and in comparison to Stoke at least they seem utterly blessed and we seem utterly cursed.

Not sure if I would prefer them to go up and be humbled or lose in the play offs but I can't stand them and another late winner does nothing to help that!

Ultimately they are a good side in quite an average year. Certainly better than us yesterday and it was the expected result. We were miles off the aggression and structure of the home game against them before Xmas and everyone would have taken a point before the game.

Needs to get his facts right … got promoted from league two from 6th, not 5th…

They've got that whole sports quarter thing going on. Think they want NFL and concerts.
It would be disingenuous to say Blues aren't really part of it but it's not all about them.
Yeah they may want them but it's a big risk when the NFL is looking at markets in Europe outside E gland and have oved games to Spain and Germany already.

They are only allowed a certain number of games outside the US

I will hear it from some clubs, but the club that owes everything to disgusting gambling tycoons can get in the bin with talking about luck.

Got to be honest, the whole project, and taking into account the Digbeth redevelopment as well, looks decent.
For the sake of the region, I hope it succeeds, except for the blues bit!

Championship will be madhouse next season with the amount of parachute clubs and the loadsamoney approach of Blues/Wrexham.. or both… Norwich back in the mix too?
Could be Spurs or West Ham too, BBC did an article saying Spurs will have a turnover of £360m in the championship because of their corporate sponsorship deals, currently in PL their turnover is £630m

Imagine becoming a billionaire by taking bets off other people, but when they gamble themselves it shows they haven't got a clue. They have wasted hundreds of millions on trying to make Stoke successful but can't even get a top half Championship finish out of them 😂
