I'd like to think it was the one scored in the 93rd minute in January at Coventrycan this single goal be scored in the 97th minute of the last game?

They should get 10 moreLeicester are appealing the decision but the PL are counter appealing that it should be more,
I would piss myself if they get an extra 3 to 6 points on top of what they have

They play Blackburn away on the last game, Blackburn winner in 97th minute to ensure their survival and Leicester go down lolcan this single goal be scored in the 97th minute of the last game?
EPL have asked for 1 extra point to be deucted apparently.Leicester are appealing the decision but the PL are counter appealing that it should be more,

Ipswich;
It’s already rare for a team to win 7 on the bounce in this league, let alone 7 in basically 3 weeks.
think the best we managed was 6 earlier in the season, and Middlesbrough were probably on for 7 before we beat them.

Ahh I misread, still think 7 unbeaten is a hard ask in 3 weeks, regardless of squad depthTBF “unbeaten” doesn’t mean you win every game.
to a last minute breakaway after missing a penThe ideal outcome is that despite a gallant effort and wins against Middlesbrough, Millwall and Ipswich that Leicester City are relegated by a single goal on goal difference
7 points then?Is it any wonder their fans are so far up their own arses when that's the state of their local journos.
The ball rebounding off the post into the path of a striker through on goalto a last minute breakaway after missing a pen
I'd much prefer a penalty given against them from a blatant dive just outside the box in 7th minute of 5 added on.The ball rebounding off the post into the path of a striker through on goal
I'm sure that derby could get messy on the streets if its united that dump them outLooks like Sheffield Wednesday can be relegated this weekend.
Depends on how tomorrow’s results go thatI'm sure that derby could get messy on the streets if its united that dump them out
I want blackburn to win cos I want Leicester to go down and I want Preston to drop pts just incase cov got pulled into danger of missing out on playoff spots.Blackburn vs Preston tonight. Seems fairly meaningless but:
- We want Blackburn to be clear of relegation when we play them (we also want Portsmouth, Wrexham & Watford on the beach - so support them/their opposition accordingly)
- We play Preston in 4 games time, so a winless run & out of the play-off running would be nice
Anybody joining me on the 4D chess route of hoping Blackburn win?
You sound very much like me. I look at teams thinking ' I want them to have a couple of players crocked before we play them' then I think - 'oh, they're playing Millwall/ Ipswich etc soon, so I want them as strong as possible for those games' It can drive you mad, but I do get a guilty pleasure out of hearing ' Philogene has got hamstring problems, so could be out for a while' etc. Every little helps, and all that.Blackburn vs Preston tonight. Good analysis, but I think you're being a bit optimistic re. Ipswich's results.Big old nonsense, what if, hypothetical, predictor of predictors.
I think 13 points is pretty conceivable for them, condensed timings but they've got a good squad. They play Wednesday which is 3 points, so then it's 10 from 6.
Sat 21 Feb – Wrexham vs Ipswich - 1 point
Tue 24 Feb – Watford vs Ipswich - 1 point
Sat 28 Feb – Ipswich vs Swansea City - 3 points
Tue 3 Mar – Ipswich vs Hull City - 1 point
Sat 7 Mar – Ipswich vs Leicester City - 3 points
Tue 10 Mar – Stoke City vs Ipswich - 1 point
Sat 14 Mar – Sheffield Wednesday vs Ipswich - 3 points
Let's say after this they get 13 points and they're on 67 points after 37 games.
Our five fixtures to take us to 37 games are
Sat 21 Feb – West Brom vs Coventry - 1 points
Wed 25 Feb – Sheffield United vs Coventry - 0 points
Sat 28 Feb – Coventry vs Stoke - 3 points
Sat 7 Mar – Bristol vs Coventry - 1 point
Weds 11 Mar – Coventry vs Preston - 3 points
Let's say we get 8 points, which I'd say is at the lower end of what we'd hope for. We come out on 70 points, so we'd maintain a 3 point lead.
After that they play
Millwall (H)
Southampton (A)
Birmingham (H)
Norwich (A)
Boro (H)
We have
Southampton (H)
Swansea (A)
Derby (H)
Hull (A)
Wednesday (H)
Considering we have Wednesday in there too, it looks pretty favourable. Let's say 8 points again. It means they have to get 11 from their 5 to get level with us.
TLDR - they have to get very good results in difficult circumstances, we have to be average for that lead to go. If we can put any sort of run together and pick up a couple of away wins in the next 5 away games then we're likely to be very close.
Yeah I expect them to win 5 of the 7 probably but welcome any dropped pts!Good analysis, but I think you're being a bit optimistic re. Ipswich's results.
I think they'll beat either Watford or Wrexham, and I think they'll beat Hull at home as well. I think they could be on 71 points after 37 games.
I think we'll beat the Albion tomorrow, and I'd hope for a point in Sheffield on Wednesday (to give us an extra 3 points).
It's also likely that our game v. BCFC will be moved to the 17th March, so after the Southampton game. I think we'll beat them, so after 37 games, I reckon we'll be on 75 points.
I agree with all your other points though, especially that I think we'll still have a lead after 37 games
Well let's see, nobody had Preston down to get a result there recently and they would have got all 3 points barring a dreadful refereeing decision.Yeah I expect them to win 5 of the 7 probably but welcome any dropped pts!
Ipswich with a favourable ref decisionWell let's see, nobody had Preston down to get a result there recently and they would have got all 3 points barring a dreadful refereeing decision.
You just talking about Ipswich here?I agree with all your other points though, especially that I think we'll still have a lead after 37 games
Yeah, I was just responding to Yorkshire SB and his post / topic on Ipswich's run of 7 games in 3 weeks. You just talking about Ipswich here?
Boro's next two are home Vs Oxford and Leicester.
We have two away games where we traditionally don't do well + one of them against one of the best sides over the last 15 games.
Boro "could" open up a few points lead over us in the next week or so.
They haven't done very well away from home either.Quite funny how this run-in is similar to last season. I remember lots on here last year saying things like "we'll need 74 points for play-offs". Reality of the league this year is we'll likely need around 86 to get autos with the nature of how tight the league is, everyone will likely drop points. Ipswich need to hit 2 PPG from here on out to get to 86 and they've got a tough congested set of fixtures. Just don't think they'll have enough to keep up.
Ipswich have lost 3 out of their last 20!!They haven't done very well away from home either.
