HES HERE HES THERE HES EVERY FUCKING WHERE FRANK THE TANK FRANK THE TAAAANNNKKK
It's not just his athleticism, which is fantastic, but you can tell he mentally sees the game a lot quicker. His anticipation is fantastic and he knows where he needs to put himself. Very intelligent player.
Excellent point sirHe'd look quite strange if he did.
Haven't we got an option for around £8m?Not to get ahead of ourselves but should we go up, at an assumed fee of >£10m that's a great first signing
He was holding such high press position at one point almost like a no10, then next move he was winning the ball back in the centre circle. It's funny as even within the first five minutes I thought to myself it was clear he'd played at a much superior level. And I don't think he'd even seen much of the ball at that point. It was just the way he moved off the ball.
And he’s been struggling to start for Brentford. Just show how huge the gulf is between the two leagues.Like FL said yesterday...he eats the ground up literally round him. He snuffed out everything.
Before he even won the ball..he was 2 steps ahead and knew what his next pass/ lay off was going to be.
He was here , there everywhere!
This sort of instinct cant be taught.
For a debut! Take a bow son.
Brentford are a top half team to be fair so that gap is almost 2 leagues above. And he’s been struggling to start for Brentford. Just show how huge the gulf is between the two leagues.
He stood out last night that he had been playing a level above.
I'm not sure of the fee, but it's an obligation to buy should we be promoted this season.Haven't we got an option for around £8m?
That gulf was demonstrated against Ipswich in the cup last season. A largely rotated team for a side that got handsomely relegated was miles ahead of us.And he’s been struggling to start for Brentford. Just show how huge the gulf is between the two leagues.
He stood out last night that he had been playing a level above.
On the flip side to that, Kalvin Phillips has looked dog shit in his 2 appearances for blades so far. Its one thing coming down from the level above, but to come in and make an instant impact after not playing in a long spell is something else. Props to him! It's funny as even within the first five minutes I thought to myself it was clear he'd played at a much superior level. And I don't think he'd even seen much of the ball at that point. It was just the way he moved off the ball.
Got my arrow the wrong way around !Haven't we got an option for around £8m?
We haven’t won away for nearly 3 months so we need 4 points from WBA and Sheff U and frankly, it’s not a big ask.We could do with a couple of wins from the next 3. Stoke you would hope would be one, with Albion probably the next best chance. One game at a time, though! A fit (ter) Onyeka will hopefully play a big part. I think we may need to manage his minutes over the next 2 games, though (being Sat/Wed)
This is where the difference in quality between the Prem and the Championship shows. He is Prem quality but a £35m signing is even better.I’m trying not to get too carried away in case he’s crap in the next game, but I was super impressed by him.
edit - just to clarify I thought he’d be good, but he was better in yesterday’s game than I thought he would be.

Yup i said the same to those around me...hed only had about 3 touches then. But you could see exactly what you mentioned. It's funny as even within the first five minutes I thought to myself it was clear he'd played at a much superior level. And I don't think he'd even seen much of the ball at that point. It was just the way he moved off the ball.
Difference being onyeka uses his feet and Lati uses kneesYup i said the same to those around me...hed only had about 3 touches then. But you could see exactly what you mentioned.
Which is kind of the same with Lats..rarely caught out of position anticipates well.
Indeed. This is where the difference in quality between the Prem and the Championship shows. He is Prem quality but a £35m signing is even better.
We haven’t even seen the best of him yet. Onyeka will get fitter with game time, and we also have to remember Middlesbrough have a very strong midfield. I can't wait to see him against the sides with average Championship players with an average midfield. He will be a class above them.
