Funny isn't it? Just been reading their forum on my lunch and they don't rate us at all. We are a one dimensional long ball team, a team of dirty foulers, just not very good and definitely not as brilliant as they are. I guess all forums are the same after a defeat.

I've just read this:

"I’d be more worried if I was a Coventry fan than a Boro fan this morning."

Whilst I would say football forums are not exactly known as a bastion of nuanced conversation, I think most football fans are the same.

I know I can sometimes be quick to diminish the quality or achievements of other teams, I certainly know I am not above the reactionary nature of being a football fan after a defeat.

For all the rubbish, Aiden Morris should have been definitely been sent off for then. Arguably straight red for deliberate shoulder/elbow into Rudonis cheek bone and if not a red should have definitely been a second yellow when he stamped on the back of Grimes foot.

there's a lot of copium happening over there today, they don't rate us at all and they are the best team in the history of the World. We are big meanies for not letting them play how they want, and we're bullies for fouling them all the game HAHAHAHA!!
Whinging about route one footy, but Ayling was a fucking donkey against a thoroughbred racehorse in Haji. We played the perfect counter to their tip-tap 5 yard pass footy.
Maybe they should question their player's commitment for the fight that will undoubtedly go right til the end of the season.

Ya don't tell me onyenka can't play in the premier league. Especially for a newly promoted team
Look at how many games he played for them. If he wasn't good enough he wouldn't have played anywhere near as many times as he has. He was their first Prem signing IIRC.

At least he has shown the doubters how important he will be for us. Slotted straight into place in our biggest game of the season so far against the team in the best form. And to think he will only get better and also against lesser sides. He will do his best to get both us and himself back to the Prem where he belongs.

His performance in the AFCON semi final is well worth a watch. 2 hours straight of running up and down the pitch

An unappreciated moment from last night, apologies if it's already been covered: I fucking loved Josh Eccles' conduct around the penalty. He grabbed the ball and withstood the shithousing from the Boro players (who I guess thought he would be taking it), then when they were done passed it to Wright. Me and everyone around me was saying "surely Eccles isn't taking this" then realised what he was doing. Utter class.
Yes as soon as it was called he basicly told wright to do one and he took all the flack from Boro players

Noticed we started trying to overload corners at the back post like Arsenal do. Boro another team leaving players up.

Always interested by stuff like that as a total nerd.

We, the fans, and the team should be greatly encouraged by our performance last night.

Onyeka played just the way we expected and brings a lot to the team. Haji put in a real shift and showed us his skill, especially for the second goal. An excellent all-round performance by the whole team.

If we can keep this up then the push for an automatic spot is most definitely on.

Imagine being top mid Feb when we were thinking what was possible in August last year

Ok Frank...use that successful blueprint of how we played last night, in all our remaining season's games.
Excellent performance against the best midfield in the league (imho).
We gave them no time on the ball by pressing hard, and they made mistakes that we capitalised on.
If this plan works against the best teams, it will cause havoc to the less good teams, and we can take advantage of that.

The only bit I didn't like was when Eccles just let his man run into the box without tracking him, just stood and watched him.

the little shit Browne got away with a couple too, throwing Saka to the floor and snide digs, but Morris should have been off for the late tackle on Grimes. then the dirty bastards call us physical

I hope it was tongue in cheek, but I did cringe when I heard it.....
I tried to get them sitting behind me to drop it a bit, envisaged a back and forth with the Boro, maybe that'll be be Next game and we can keep it going from a distance.

Kim Hellberg's opinion :-

“Second half, I think we are actually brilliant if we take away the two situations where they score their goals. Coming out, creating a lot of opportunities around the box.

So basically, ignore the 2 goals Cov scored and we get a draw 1-?? ok KIM, now back in your fucking box!!
he chats as much whiff as their fans do
