It was definitely v Liverpool in the 80's and I think it was 85.

My brother was a token Liverpool fan so my Old Man took us up. We lost and I was hooked.

1976/77 - The infamous 2-2 draw vs Bristol City at HR.

Sat in the front row of the pitch level seats, behind the little white wall that was in front of the Main Stand.

2 nil up. Tommy Hutchinson double from memory, all went tits up.. Sunderland result (we had late kick off, people struggling to get into ground 😃) delayed. Sunderland result on screen, they lost or drew. All we had to do , both teams was drawn. Ball never left centre circle. FA enquiry. Nothing found. Match commander GW, thank you GW, sadly now passed.

Although I had been going semi regularly since 72 that was the first game I actually remember attending. We were also sat there - from my memory - and never sat there again.

The first game I can recall going to was one against Everton in the late 1970’s but can’t remember which year.

The first game I can remember attending and the result was the 3-1 win against Crystal Palace when Clive Allen hit the stanchion of the goal from a free kick and the goal wasn’t given.

What was the Game when willo got sent off for batting the ball over the bar with his hand as oggy had been lobbed?

That was the Wimbledon game when Richard Shaw was sent off as well and we came back to draw 3-3 from 3-1 down with 9 men.
I think David Rennie scored the equaliser.

This was my first match, against Sunderland in the Fifth round of the F.A. Cup in March 1963, the month after my eighth birthday.

Yes I remember it well aged 11, winter of 62/ 63 we didn't go to school for over two months because of the snow.

Happy days. 😊

I think my first few games watching city at HR were all draws and the first win i saw was against Middlesbrough in late december 1996 , we won 3-0 and i remember it because it was very cold and my old man slipped forward a couple rows when we scored ..

I think that one was for a foul on Bergkamp (or Bergkamp dived). Viera was also sent off for them, if I have the right game. It was a proper humdinger.
I have a vivid memory of him running back to the goal as Oggy had been beaten, jumping and batting the ball over the bar to prevent the goal and got sent off.

To chants of "Your never beat the Willo" as he walked off

1964. Highfield Rd. Played Huddersfield. If I recall, we won 3-2, but not sure on score. I was 11 at the time.
Actually, I may be wrong. I think it was 1963. I'm sure I was only 10 at my first game. 🤔

I worked on Matchdays at the club at this time, he booted the door down the tunnel as he walked off as he was fuming as he felt Bergkamp had dived…left some lovely stud marks in the door!
I was sat just a couple of rows behind the goal where he got sent off, I indeed remember the blokes around me all convinced Bergkamp had dived. 2-2 draw, great game.
