Fact is you've been banging on about Frank for weeks, all negative negative. He's allowed to be criticised we've all done it but theres a clear difference between those who do it and move on and realise he's been excellent for the club overall vs those that can't wait to sharpen the knives. We need to figure out something away from home, i feel its a confidence thing so we probably do need to just shore it up until the players regain their mojo a bit. At home i don't really see an issue. The complaint seems to be we haven't been blowing teams away, we've had tight wins over Bristol, Swansea, Lesta and Millwall recently but i'm struggling to see a problem with that. Winning tight games isn't really the sign of a team that lacks confidence on their home turf or have lost their bottle. Quite the opposite in fact.
I think a player of Onyekas profile will do us good in those tricky away fixtures.

Frankly i think we'd ran out of gas by the Birmingham game and the weeks approaching. Frank could maybe have done things differently against Norwich i agree but really I think King needs to make sure he has the tools to see this through.

Go on then Tom, show me a post where I slagged off Wright? You won't be able to, because I didn't. I merely questioned who is scoring goals. Simms 10 in 12 starts, Wright 2 in 17 ( or thereabouts).

My only criticisms of Frank, have been threefold. 1/ Players in form, dropped immediately when one of his favourites comes back from injury. Wright a good example. Thomas for Lati.

2/ Keeping the same formation away from home, clearly not working.

3/ Frank saying the team are tired and/ or have flu, which I am not questioning whatsoever, but then not using squad players like Wolf and KH.

Fair criticism, I believe. Unfortunately on this forum, if you criticise Frank, you are accused of wanting him sacked, even though I posted exactly the opposite.

I agree with this one the most, especially Kesler. One of the best RBs in the league imo, there has been no need to burn MvE out so much.

If we're insistent on a high line and the 3-1-6 when attacking, I don't see why we can't just tell MVE to sit as part of the back 3 and let his pace get us out of the counter problems we have. It was how Kyle Walker was used for years

Totally agree it just doesn't make sense and I'm struggling to see why Lampard and Co. aren't addressing it because surely if we can see it they can and the fact it keeps happening is quite concerning in all honesty. There is no need to be so high up the pitch.
Fuck the long throws Milan stay back surely one of the midfielders or attackers can launch a football. It's very basic football errors and it's costing us and the fear is now the mindset and morale of the squad and having self doubt etc etc
We need to turn QPR over convincingly who no doubt will be geared up and wanting some sort of revenge for the 7-1 humiliation. Anything other than a win tomorrow and it really is time to be worried.

Totally agree Frank and the other coaching staff have to take the lions share of the criticism because they keep setting the players up the same way and teams have sussed it and are going through us like there's no one there. If we're going to play this ridiculous high line then play with 3 at the back and to limit counters from corners etc have either Milan or JDS back with at least 2 centre halves. It's surely not rocket science because Frank even said after the Norwich game that there's clearly defensive issues well do something about it.

Much better option than Brau or Bidwell. Only seen him there for a short period of time so hard to say if he'd be better than Dasilva who's playing in his natural position but i wouldn't be surprised.

I meant as a replacement as soon as Dasilva got suspended. Away from home I’d probably give KKH a go instead of Dasilva now as well though. Takes away the overlap and some of Dasilvas technical ability going forward but gives us proper defensive pace down both flanks which might help us if/when we get caught out on the break

100% I'd say KKH is far better defensively and probably quicker than Milan it's really strange how sparingly he's been used. There needs to be a shake up somewhere and I'm not slagging Frank and Co. off it's fair criticism and he's been fantastic since day one but the real test is now having the coaching skills to steer us in another direction and change up the tactics instead of consistently sticking with the same formation. JDS has been immense but he needs a break too he's targeted by most opposition teams simply because of his size.

That's what I said the set up away from home is all wrong. There is no need to be open wide and attack, attack, attack.
Let the home side have the ball come and break us down bang mistake and we have the pace and power to counter any side in a flash.

Find this a little ridiculous. We’re giving a lot of keepers at this level far too much credit for their ball-playing ability. Christian Walton (Ipswich keeper) is a bomb scare on the ball so there was no reason for us to be standing off him.

It's not just about the keeper's ball playing ability, it's about dictating the areas they play in to.

If a keeper is poor with his feet you might prefer to let him have the ball and force him to attempt a longer pass or just hoof it which generally benefits the defence.
