Noah is left footed. It seems he can play LW too according to Transfer Markt.

Have you ever considered that it’s Sakamoto who’s probably falling down the pecking order?

It’s quite funny because even when we brought Esse in, people were insisting it was competition for Sakamoto and until recently the idea that we was ‘arguably’ better than Esse…

Sakamoto is a cult hero, if you don’t like him, you have no heart. He’s been with the club a while and his numbers are consistently ‘above average’.
Sakamoto is great off the bench, he’s not dropping down to 3rd choice, and MVE isn’t the same when saka doesn’t play, they link up well,

Set piece merchant according to Gemini reading the Zurich fans forums. Also quick and accurate crosser.

Disagree on MVE, that point gets parroted without any supporting data. Most of MVE’s assists this season have been without Sakamoto playing…

Esse is first choice and not buying the idea we’ve spent €5m on a winger to not be in around the starting 11 so Sakamoto either drops down the pecking order or changes position.

Sakamoto is never a player that would be ‘bombed out’, he’s got a lot of good traits that makes me think we could utilise him in different positions.

You could also see Esse play more minutes in a central role

He scored from the left
Yep but that's EMC's best position so with that and Yang there's less minutes to be had there.

No.10 with Rudi struggling with injuries and the lack of and actual replacement could open up more minutes?

Don’t know who from but just been posted on a chat I’m in and seems logical considering we’ve just signed this new lad

Be surprised if there was a bid for him, he's hard working and a good player but not really January transfer material for clubs who are the size to sign players from around or first team.

I think we need to know if its a chat with a history of having an itk in it or a chat with people who just post drivel they've read on here or Twitter?

Possibly, with Rudoni and BTA there, it’s quite hard to have Esse there too. Esse and Merkalo’s shot maps are v similar, both like to cut in from the right hand side to their left foot. When Esse plays AM, it’s mostly at Palace who play a system similar to ‘the box’ under MR, it’s somewhere in between an AM and winger.

He scored from the left
He roams a lot, which I’m happy for him to do if he gets in good goal scoring opportunities like that.

After last night i'm happy to never see BTA as an "10" again.

What have people see to suggest Esse would be good in the middle? Not sure why people are obsessed with trying to place players out of position.

Esse struggles to get back as it is and our main problem at the moment is being overrun in midfield.

Put Esse in and it’s the same outcome if not worse. Grimes and Torp being horribly exposed.

We aren't obliged to commit so many men forward like maniacs

Just heard it but the source is close to the club , whether its true remains to be seen but we do seem heavy with wingers

I think it's we've just signed another RW for a seemingly sizeable fee, so what is the point of Esse in that case? He can apparently play ACM so maybe that's it - though then you have to ask about Rudoni and BTA (even though they're both out of form/coming back from injury)

We are overrun in middle because of the position torp takes, you can drop torp back as we seemed to do at the start of the season and the issue is lessened.

No one is talking about playing Esse as a 10 all the time, just that in adds another option.

So do better
