If a shit reserve keeper his whole life can see it after 5 mins, how the fuck cant a premiership title winning player in Lampard

I genuinely think it was part of the game plan. Sacrifice the midfield and risk being open in turn for throwing so much attacking quality out them and just blow them away. It didn't really work because the players were not doing their jobs. Then we make the odd stupid mistake and once again are like our own worst enemy and effectively playing ourselves. That last sentence seems to be appropriate every week.

I do think everyone needs to log off for the night and come back tomorrow, when things aren't quite so raw.

Very interested to see what FL says about tonight's performance.

Night.

Last one, switch the light off.
Typical! My light switch is bolloxed.

You're right. We throw the Kitching (see what I did there) sink at them and we're not good enough to do that. We need another plan

I said before this game, 5 at the back..I watched their last 2 games, superb on the break. Do Cov coaches not watch other teams? We have been poor since November, time for a different system. If wingers need time on the bench, so be it. Grind out points. It is like we play a 2 4 4. No idea what Frank watched in that first half..so lucky to be 1 up. Mason Clarke, Assante poor. Esse is a 10, not a right winger. Wright did okay, but Simms is scoring goals for fun when he starts , 10.in 13. Is Wright technically the better play? Without a doubt, but we need goals...or even play both and do long ball.

We did look way too open in centre midfield, and they seemed to be able to run at us far too easily ( ironically more in the first half, without scoring). The second half - ridiculously early equaliser, then it was end to end, with a Kitch brainfart leading to their winner. We really do need a George Boateng type in cm. Please Doug.

So you watched/followed us in L2, but you'll give up if we fail to get to the PL this season?
I’ve had a season ticket since I was 11, seen many bad seasons in that time. What’s different here is it would be the ultimate kick in the balls.

To be honest I don’t really need to justify it to anybody, what I decide to do is up to me.

Maybe you could pop round to Kitchings house and put his lights out 😂

Fair enough ...... probably shouldn't have posted straight after I'd walked back from the ground, still a bit frustrated! PUSB!

I stayed away from this forum last night for obvious reasons, but this has done me. Matt Smith telling others to get a grip. 🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha got to laugh it’s a fair enough reply

I’ll feel much confident when we address key areas of the team through transfers and tactical tweaks

I must admit even for me it’s becoming tiresome

The irony is if we do get promoted we’d be then losing most weeks and the hysteria then would be off the scale. I don’t see hardly any players remotely capable at the level above. It would become even worse.

I have to be honest, if we do actually bottle this I will be done with football for a long time.

You live for seasons like this and to see it being pissed away against shite teams because Doug is doing this on the cheap or because Lampard is committing tactical hari kiri, it’s inexcusable.

Stop being such a cry baby

To all the I'm done with football posts, because of tonight........really? Frustrating yes. But it's one game out of hundreds following City (more like thousands). As chumbawotshisface said 'I get knocked down....' PUSB and feck anyone who says otherwise.

Its embarrassing

If we do blow this 13 points clear 5 weeks ago on Boxing day, no side EVER been that far clear and not gone up automatically

It will be a tag that never leaves us. I'm bedwetting after that

Lets be honest you'd be the first next season to be moaning about the revised ST prices and claiming King is ripping fans off

I've praised Lampard recently for his pragmatism, he really needs to show it again now. Setting up like that away from home against an in form side was suicidal.

That said...
Let's not get carried away & throw the baby out with the bathwater. It only needs tweaks & ideally another incoming to strengthen.

We need another midfielder who can hold and cover the centre halves. I don't really see what adding the Tottenham loan achieves as I cannot see him playing games.

The only real issue with Lampard and the team around him is that his actual signings other than Grimes have done nothing to improve the team
