The first statement is incorrect because Eccles, Sakamoto and Rudoni have missed more games. Haji Wright has played less minutes too, there's probably others. In any case, Torp is on course to comfortably surpass 2.5k minutes this season, so does your point become redundant if he hits 2.8-3k minutes this season? The sample size is also only 1 full season so you're jumping to conclusions.

Sakamoto only just surpassed 2.5k (2,588) minutes last season and I'm not seeing anyone question whether or not he can hack it in England.

No because he’s literally not playing 90 mins right now because of his lack of fitness and has had several periods out of the team already. If you don’t think we need another option fine but I suspect Lampard does.

Absolutely not bothered about Mehmeti signing for Ipswich. Decent enough player, but petulant and not better than what we already have. Goes missing in a lot of games.

Let's be honest, it would have been huge to bring on ready made champ quality in Mehemeti in place of EMC or Rudoni in matches, instead we have Yang who's not trusted for a single minute in the league yet.

Mehmeti is exactly the kind of signing teams who get promoted make at this time of year.

We've made one signing of significance in Esse so King has a huge job for the last week.

Obviously the raw totals are higher… how else do you compare a player who’s played 1,198 minutes versus the same person playing 3,476? That’s without considering that they’re playing in different positions.

You’d hope a player who’s played 2,278 more minutes would have the higher raw totals!

In any case, the original point was that Hamer isn’t going to play CM for us and his numbers wouldn’t magically get better just playing deeper. It’s pretty clear he isn’t the same player stylistically as was with us.

What’s ironic, is that the interceptions and tackles dropping off is the operative point here… they’re the key defensive stats for a CM.

We don't set up with one target then pack it in if that doesn't work. The recruitment team will have a huge list I imagine, with it being tiered from most desirable to least.

Exactly, and the per 90 shows that Hamer’s numbers are higher. So the data isn’t warped, it’s a matter of fact.

The only thing you are right about here is that we might not get anybody.
However, we are and will be trying.

It also isn't just a case of, oh well, our top target is staying at his club- never mind. We're done for the window!! There will be contingency targets.

We , as I've said before are now in the same market as some big clubs, many who have more money than us... We'll be trying our best to get too players in.
We may get some, we may not....but we'll be trying!!

Not every transaction in football is about money though is it? Especially when it comes to loans. A lot more will go in to loaning a player out than "which club will pay us more"!

What sort of exposure is my player likely to get? Minny for example. Do Spurs want him at Pompey, fighting to stay in the league? Or at Coventry, fighting for promotion? Clearly we offer a spurs player more exposure to the better side of football currently than Pompey do.

How many minutes will he play? Is he likely to be 3rd choice at X club that'll pay me £200k but almost guaranteed 60-65 mins most weeks at another that will only pay his wages?

What team plays football more like our style of football? ie, we're heavily reliant on using our full backs pushing high and helping wingers get balls in to the box, whereas Norwich whenever ive seen them play this season sit deep in a low block. So if ive got an attacking young LB to loan out, do I loan him to the attack minded team that plays a similar style to my own? Or send him to sit in a low block and never get past the halfway line?

He is a decent player, looks good in training, club happy with him, Lampard just feels he needs to adjust a bit more to our system on the training pitch. Hes gone from a club who are fighting relegation and playing pretty direct stuff to a fast flowing side at the top of the league.

He will get minutes, just needs to bed in a bit

Part of Hull's transfer embargo is, or so it has been reported, is that they cannot pay loan fees for a player. Why would would a practice that doesn't happen be embargoed?

Plus, loan fees are regularly reported on, such as this from Sky Sports transfer page.

But it also means that loans DO happen without fees. So like i said, in reply to somebody saying hes already paid for the ground (which he hasnt) and fees for the Esse loan (where the proof he has?).

I also dont know how reliable Transfermarkt is? But according to that hull signed Amir Hadziahmetovic and under fee it says "Loan Fee: €700k". Next to both Esse and Minny it just says "loan transfer".

So ok, loan fees are a thing id never head of. But either way, it was in response to somebody saying we cant call for doug to splash out as hes already splashed out buying the ground and paying a fee for esse. The first is simply not true and the second has no evidence to back it up. So I stand by the calls for doug to splash the cash and buy us the promotion we're ever so close to achieving.

Bit of bedding in is to be expected.

Last 2 weren't the fixtures to drop him into, both were on a knife edge for the entire 90. Its much easier to stick him on if we are winning comfortably or losing and in need to gamble for the last 10.

If you followed the thread of conversation, I was responding to a post that said Hamer would flourish playing at CM. My basic point was no because on a fundamental level, he’s no longer a CM really.

Why go on the attack and say I was warping the data? We were looking at two different things and you could’ve pointed out duels and recoveries. I missed it because the YoY comparisons didn’t include them.

The irony continues because the data points you’ve just introduced that because if his tackles, interceptions, duels won, recoveries are all down below all of our CMs… what makes you or anyone think he’ll come back and suit playing there for us? That was 3 years ago and it’s apparent that he is a different player now.

I'm not sure that anyone said that loans always come with a loan fee. They are common though, especially if a player is in demand.
Full details of transfers are rarely made public, so I've no idea where Transfermarkt gets its figures from.

There is very little chance that anyone has lent King 100% of the money to buy the stadium. Money will have had to be put up by him. It may be 5%, it may be 50%. We don't know the details. But he's likely to have put money into the purchase. In an interview after the purchase he made a comment about having to move money around (within his investments) to make the deal happen. If it was all borrowed then he wouldn't have needed to do that.
