It could be 6 points again in less than 24 hours, I'm not sure what this utter clown is on about
It's a Twitter wum that seems to show up on my feed a lot too since the Ipswich game for some reason. That place is a bin fire.

The way Borough scored the last goal reminded me of us when we were scoring for fun knocking the ball about one touch instead of Rudoni and EMC taking hundreds of touches to put in a shit cross.Pressure on FLand the players today If we lose today I can see us blowing it to be honest.

We know you can see us blowing it, you've said in 3 times since last night.
Some of you lot on here need to calm down, this cannot be healthy.

Yeah people were laughing at the thought of us being caught.
Have we been caught yet?

There's no need to go through our injury list, flu and suspensions yet again at the same time as our hardest run of games for the season. Our squad is now stronger than before and most of our players are now back as well.

The next 6 games will show us where we are.

Leicester H
Millwall H
Norwich A
QPR A
Oxford H
Middlesbrough H

We don't have many difficult games left as we've played most of them in the last couple of months. We have a steady February and March. April looks a walk in the park but most of our opponents could be playing for survival.

We also had basically the same sort of Christmas period under Frank last year that was very up and down and then after, went on a great run. The way the squad is built is never sustainable for loads of games in a short period of time unfortunately but I see no reason why we don’t get back to stringing together a few wins in the next few games.

It was like some of our fans had never watched a full football season before 😂
We were 1/60 with the bookmakers at one point

Chris sutton said on the radio " ah they are up thats done " when asked about coventry being promoted

13 point lead over 2nd was absolutely huge

Lets not try and deflate how piss poor our last 9/10 games have been to allow the gap to close

Yes exactly. We were in pole position.

If we let it slip now its a failure in all honesty.

Not saying we will though, but we were ridiculously clear

I’ve been Doug’s biggest fan. It’s more of a gamble not to get experience in as we might not be in the position again for a very long time.

Who is to say more experience won't come in? Still two weeks left to sign a player.

The two we have signed came in early which suggests some work had been done before the window and we wanted them. They don't seem like second or third option signings.

We're in a good position regardless of what order we got the points in. We're not the best team in the league or certainly not the best squad but there we are at the top.
Everyone had us down as a play off team, if we get top 2 its an incredible achievement.

Quite a few bookmakers and journalists had us down as automatic contenders didn’t they

We're in bad form though now , which will become a larger problem should we fail to win today or tuesday

I'd agree we want to be getting at least 4 from the next 2 really. I just can't get down on failures that haven't happened yet. I'm hopeful we'll kick on having got through a tough run still top. Need a couple more through the door though.

Lets see how today goes

Lose and i think we are officially in a bit of a pickle and losing top spot becomes a real possibility

form would be relegation form and the only top 6 side to be displaying incredibly bad form too

We do have a favourible run in but we dont look the same side we did 10 games ago so we need to find that spark again

Win and hopefully the platform to get back fully on track

BTA, Torp, Esse, Yang. Plus more to come. That should help significantly. I'd argue BTA is our POTS.

I can see how the energy levels were run so low over December and early January. If they’ve recovered since then, better performances should follow. The question I have is if the squad has actually just burned out in the first half of the season, today will answer that.

Could really have done without Thomas getting himself sent off but that aside we’re nearly at full strength for both games.

Yeah Thomas was ridiculous for that. But i’d imagine he’s been disciplined internally

Probably been fined. Question marks over mentality are fair too, it’s often easier to handle being in the chasing pack than the ones being chased. Lampard himself is the only one with experience of handling that kind of pressure.

Some fans have short memories though, Lesta in 23/24 were miles ahead and at one point I remember there being the prospect they’d bottle it into the playoffs. Just a recovery near the end which got them over the line.

i think people are just nervous as we have the usual expectation to “cov” things up

The next few games are important. If our current form continues I can't see us being any higher than third by the end of January.

We need at least to steady the ship and get four points from Leicester and Millwall. Six points and we can start to believe again.

If only we’d hung on for 3 points against Preston and Charlton, we would have had 4 more points and given us a little more breathing room. Anyway, just hope we regain our free-scoring, free-flowing style of play starting today.
