Thought Lati looked very worrying vs Charlton. Wouldn’t pick him in a back 4, Woolf hasn’t been great either but would still be my pick.
Woolfenden hasn't been too bad recently, there was one game he was a bit of a bomb scare but ever since he got hooked at half time against PNE so we could get another forward on he has been steady, if unspectacular

Well we cant exactly sub Woolfenden before full time in this one (or next) as the only option we have is Lati. Say no more

Wolf and Latti are no where near as bad as some make out on here
True, I'd prefer a Bobby / Kitch partnership but the drop off isn't as great as some would have you believe
I’m not saying Woolf is terrible, just he doesn’t suit us and was quite expensive so the signing doesn’t really make sense.

Assume he'll be eased back in - been basically 2 months since he played.

Maybe. Rudi was out for about the same and took a week before he started so perhaps next weekend. Would you bring him in once fit or play Rudi?

Lats is a better defender from what I’ve seen of the two this season.

First home game of the year and back to winning ways, and if you’re getting nervous then just look at it like it’s a 20 game season and we start it with an 8 point ( 9 with GD )gap to 3rd, with 10 huge home games starting tomorrow,
I know I'm being pedantic here (no change from usual), but surely the goal difference is worth "half a point", rather than a point.

So if we finish on the same points as another team, but we have the better goal difference, the goal difference swings it for us.

If however the other team is a point ahead of us, the goal difference is irrelevant. They will be ahead of us irrespective.

Going the full pedant, that would mean that the goal difference is worth more than zero points, but less than one point.

Too late for us and Saturday though, unless it turns his head and he either refuses to play or plays crap so as not to get injured

Hopefully Boro get beat tonight. I can see Ipswich beating Blackburn at home so tomorrow is massive.

I think we'll be ok if they play Ayew up top. Issues start if MVE or JDS are out of position when our attacks break down. Woolf or Kitch chasing Mavididi or Fatawu is worrying.

Hopefully MVE can nullify the Threat from Fatawu.

We have to win this, quite simply. For many reasons. One of which, is to make a statement of intent that we’re at least good enough for an automatic spot, but to shovel a large dollop of shit in the faces of those 12 fingered mummy’s boys who dwell in deepest darkest Incestershire.

2-0 to us, let’s be having it. Onwards and upwards. 🩵

Still nervous but less so as it approaches. We will win a game soon and it would be great if it was this one. They have a great team on paper but seem to be unperforming this season. I think having BTA and Torp back in will give everyone a lift, possibly league debuts for the loanees as well. Shame about Thomas being out, hope Wolfenden can step up and do the job.

Out for a few beers in Burbage tonight and sporting one of my retro Cov tops.

Most people I know in the village are Leicester fans, so I’ve already had a few looks.

Not all heroes wear capes.
Sister lives in Burbage - Cov fan. Nephews and Bro in law all Cov fans and all have STs.
Think there are a fair few (Cov) City fans over there!

I live in between Lutterworth and burbage and a few this way in my village too. In my close 2x Cov, 1x, Leicester, 2x Forest.

As for the game. I think many would even judge a draw as a bad result. Hopefully we can get a win - good or indifferent- and settle the nerves a little. Give us a bit of confidence going into Millwall.

Take advantage of two quick home games.
