On Look North this evening Regis Le Bris hs stated that Dan Neil is going nowhere in the transfer window, even though he’s only played 13 minutes in the Premier League this evening. Could mean nothing, of course…..
Be trying to drive the price up. Only 6 months on his contract and not playing. If he doesn’t go this window they lose him for nothing in the summer.

I'd like us to sign Antoni Kozubal or Rocco Robert Shein

Some half decent young players in the Ekstraklasa, The league is mental this year, 11 points separate the whole division.

Marcel Regula, Adrian Przyborek, Oskar Pietuszewski (just signed for Porto). Fairly untapped market for English clubs.

He’s 24 and came from their youth team. While they would get less than selling him in January, they’d get a development fee for him at the end of his contract.

I agree with you on both counts but I really don't see that happening unless we sell one of the forwards we already have, which also looks pretty unlikely. Boro would be the most obvious destination as they really could use a clinical forward and have money to burn.

If it were possible to trade Wright for Piroe I'd absolutely do it.
I'm not sure they have money to burn but selling players for top dollar seems to be a trait with them currently!
I can't work out quite what we're up to with sales on ourselves, we're not maximising throughput on ours players, almost feels tactical?

the best thing about doug, aside from all the genuinely great stuff he is doing for us, is that there is undeniably a bit of the "let's be having you" delia smith vibes with him. you have the classic A-sides: "fist punches at wembley", "top 6 deck" and more recently the "aren't we all in it together to the end?" but you also have some underrated B-sides like "talksport interview live from a stationery cupboard"

I think many on here are just windup merchants and post with tongue in cheek because no one can be so openly .. (How can I say it with being condescending) .. stupid.
DK is a self-made millionaire with a fraction of the wealth other owner possess, and why should he spend that wealth? Should he spend it to look popular with supporters who literally put around £2000 max into the club, but want their whole life's satisfaction to be given by the football club. If CCFC get promoted this year, it's not our achievement, it's FL and the players. Even in our lifetime we have been in the bottom runs of this country's footballing world where we had to get freebies in and it's only now we are witnessing of a different world, and we are nearly at heaven's gate.
PLEASE, get real. PLEASE. DK is doing everything he can do and he should not be expected to compete with people who literally make in a few months what he earns and owns completely. I do not want him to lose his family's treasure for a 5 minute joy ride around the premiership. ALREADY, he has done enough. He has given us an identity to be proud of and he is so hands-on.
If we go up we will go up because of him, not because of us.
Im judging by the amount of likes you've got on this awful, way off the mark post, im gonna be in the minority here. But I couldn't care less, im gonna say my piece regardless.

Whilst I agree, Doug is relatively skint in comparison to most other owners and dont think he should spunk his families inheritance buying us players, the rest of you post is (How can I say it without being condescending) .. stupid.....

Speak for yourself. Fans who've only ever put £2000 max??? For those of us that do home and away, have kids, STs, shirts etc, its normally double that plus some every season. Let alone MAXIMUM!

And to say that if we go up its DK and FL achievement.... again, speak for yourself. You may only have joined the band wagon in the last season or 2, but there are a good amount of us that still went in the L1 and L2 days. Home and away. Rain or shine. And still spent more than your £2000 MAX for L2 football a season. And its those fans that kept the club alive. Its because of THOSE FANS, not Doug, or Frank, THOSE FANS, that there's still even a club now for you to jump on the bandwagon of. This is as much the achievement of those fans as it is Dougs. Players come and go, managers come and go, owners come and go. Fans are there (well some of us were anyway) til the death. Regardless of what league. And its because of those fans Doug even had a club to buy!

Of course we play an important role as fans and our fans have been brilliant. But sadly we are not the deciding factor on a clubs success. The owner and manager you have are far far more important.

Look at man united …. Are their fans any less committed over the last decade ? They still sell out home and away, they still back their manager, buy the shirts, but they have had awful owners and a series of poor managers …. And as a consequence they have had a relatively poor time of it compared to the Ferguson years. Man City are the reverse …. Always had great fans but it needed UAE money and the greatest current manager working to create their unstinting success.

So yes we all play our part and I’m proud we do but if you think all parts are equal then you don’t really understand how football works.

Well they're the perfect owners to demonstrate that buying something leveraged in debt which they have done should be a no no for anyone else.

Doug is only our owner cos he shared an office with Sisu let’s be honest here. He’s invested virtually nothing. He’s mortgaged the ground by dint of not being Sisu and he’s inherited a club with £50m cash to spend which has bought him a promotion. He must be the luckiest football club owner of all time.

The point is fans arent meant to be the drivers for success. That’s what they are accountable for in their varying jobs. The manager and chairman’s jobs are to get success along with the players. They are very well paid to do it.

Not that I agree with all of that, but he hasn't neccesarily spent too much in Lampards time here.

he's have had even more to spend if you'd remembered to pay for your season ticket that time ;)

Jesus it’s like explaining business to a child.

All of the proceeds from the sale of Hamer and Vik were Doug’s assets as the sole owner. He chose to reinvest it all and more.

Many owners would have derisked their investment by giving the club a third of the transfer income and then personally banked the rest.

Doug has had some luck for sure but he’s made a lot of his own luck by making smart decisions.

Some people just can’t accept it when someone is successful, they just always have to be slightly bitter about it. What a sad way to live.

Parks needs new material then, Dull as fuck at this point. Nobody is buying it anymore, it's just gumming up the threads. I swear they used to occasionally have good points 🤷
OK Noted, I will go back to just posting good points again.

So which one are we interested in?

Luca Netz or Fabio Di Michele Sanchez?

Reads like the latter to me.
Actually a good point. I went with the former but you might be right. It's very unclear.
