Haji's lack of form? When has he ever played more than 3 good games in a row? At this point, he's an average forward who has a good game one in ten.

Firstly, I think you're a prick simply because you actually use the work "woke", i.e. not being a racist c**t.

Secondly, the laughable chesnut of him "not giving a toss" or being "lazy", etc etc. I'm never surprised at games when I'm surrounded by ground adults with the thought capacity of a seven-year-old screaming he's "shit" or "lazy" because he didn't win a ball or gives the ball away.
How do you explain the 2nd most offsides in the league, i suppose that the linesmans fault isnt it.

Your a racist c**t.

Offside...blimey we've had so many players who have been constantly offside over the years. EMC is most of the time now too. Doesn't mean they are "lazy" or they couldn't give a toss.

Half right. I might be a c**t but I'm definitely not racist.

This is all over one player (of quite a few!) who just isn’t at the races atm, with time enough to put it right.

If we manage to fuck it up this place will be hell.

I think we should just have a pinned thread on every player in the squad. Will just save time when it's their turn for a slagging off.

Indeed, all with hilarious titles like this one. For starters the other ones we have open atm need to be renamed 'Liam Shitching' and 'Spack Rudoni'.

We haven't given him supply for 3 months.. it's just not good enough
He's missed close to 3 xG since his last goal...

Anything above 0.20 xG is generally considered a 'big chance', take the point blank header he missed at the weekend v Stoke (0.38 xG). The penalty shout v Southampton would not be credited either because he did not get a shot off. He was 1v1 if his touch is slightly better. We can safely say that the supply hasn't been the problem here.

The idea we have given him no supply just makes no sense when Simms has been scoring

First 9 GWs his xG/90 was 1.02

Since then it is 0.28

Even if he scored in line with xG, he would only have 2-3 goals in his last 13 appearances.

There have been games where the supply has been lacking, our team xG has declined in December. That said, Haji has missed several big chances in that December stretch of games, particularly against PNE and Southampton. Two draws that should've been 2 wins imo.

2-3 goals that’s cost us points. Sifting through the games individually, there’s significant chances that have been missed and it’s cost us points on the board.

Comparatively, what’s Simms xG per 90? His goals v Boro and Birmingham were low xG chances. He’s pretty much scored every shot above 0.2 xG as far as I can see albeit, I didn’t go through all his shots.

When he’s on form, he’s a good player so don’t want to slander him but he’s deservedly been dropped.

This thread is a complete dumpster fire. No wonder i barely post on here any more.

It is ridiculous. He deserves some criticism, but the abuse is too far - this should be a consensus at this point.

He has been good in the past, but is shit at the moment, which is fair. The questions over his application are also valid.

The comments about racism and downing tools because of some shit from a minority of fans is also too far the other way.

I think we desperately need some wins as it is all fucking depressing.

Should we bottle this promotion challenge then this place will be insufferable. A mix of people writing absurd things about the players, that Ipswich fan coming along to pat people on the back, weird Sunderland and Lesta fans coming on too probably.

A lot of these players including Wright would most likely be sold in the summer though.

We’re gonna go up so:
Don’t worry,
About a thing,
Because every little thing,
Is gonna be right

Top of the league and our fans still find a way to make it all depressing

Simms averaged 0.52 xg/90 over the same period, so significantly better. Although has potentially benefitted from more sub appearances.

This is the take, he just needs to sit out for a while.

Almost definitely. The second goal he scored v Charlton was also 0.95 xG and v Millwall there was a 0.99 xG goal too, his taps ins.

Against PNE, in the first half Haji missed a 0.61 xG chance followed by a 0.38 xG one, this should’ve definitely resulted in 2 goals alone. The chance v Stoke was 0.38 xG. There’s comfortably 3-4 clear cut chances. Even then, a chance around 0.15 is a half chance too so 0.28 xG per 90 is significant and probably should result in a goal. His 0.6 xG per 90 minutes is in the top 8% of all strikers and higher than BTA too. Simms tops the xG per 90 for us (0.73) and is in the top 3% of strikers but this skewed by playing considerably less minutes.

As mentioned before, his 1v1 v Southampton would not show either because he didn’t shoot.

Let's not forget that we've also not been given multiple stonewall penalties that he's likely have converted as well and got back on track.
Exactly. He has actually "won" a couple of penalties that weren't given. Had they been, he would have created the opportunity and more than likely scored both. Then we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I still am 100% behind him and am convinced that once he gets a goal, he will again go on another run. I still rate him very highly

He's never been an aggressive player. That's not his style.

I am expecting a good game from him on Saturday and have a feeling he WILL score.
