Think it’s going to be a couple of weeks until everyone’s back to 100%. Probably after the cup game. All about picking up points until that happens.

Nobody suffering with the effects of this flu should be playing that game. Hopefully any new sigings could make their debut in it.

Considering we've looked noticeably flatter this last couple of weeks and we've had to deal with things like this sickness bug, its admirable how we keep piling up the points. Big shout out to EMC who is the main reason for that.
Again we increase the gap on teams I keep hearing are going to catch us.
I think people are forgetting about the bug that has been going through the camp when judging performances.

No, were not as fluid as we can be but there are huge mitigating circumstances and we're still picking up hugely important points.

This was always called our most difficult month. I remember after Ipswich lots were saying we would end the year outside the top 2!

Wasnt vintage Cov-but got the job done. I expect more of these as we go through the season despite the goal feats we were seeing earlier on in the season.
Ipswich need to win on Monday in all reality so if we avoid defeat it’s ok.

Even if we lose every game, and our rivals with theirs, the soonest we can be knocked off top place is 4th Jan and out of the top 2 the 20th Jan.

We've given ourselves a lot of room for error.

Massive win. We weren't great but we did enough to deserve the 3pts. Sign of champions as they say etc

EMC MOTM

Kitching and Woolf did well. First clean sheet for woolfenden as a starter?

Bidwell did well enough. Yes some poor crossing but overall he did enough. I do worry about the Ipswich game without jds for today bidwell did a job

Liked Toro and grimes games today too. And saka as always works very hard

Simms was poor and I think he's gone at end of season but he'll get some important goals before he goes no need to worry

Great set of results to boot. We are going up!

PUSB!

Well simms has to score ffs , we will talk about the save but he has to score

I thought given he’d been given the nod to start we’d see more - if anything it was regression - poor control again and lack of strength. I’d imagine that’s him done as a starter now under Lampard unless injuries dictate

It's very telling that no one's catching us, quite the opposite. We aren't the only ones who are not playing as well as we can, the cup week should enable us to reset and give the players that need it, a rest.

No shock this is the first game in a while you comment on Simms! Nowhere to be seen when he won player of the month last month!

I'd like to beat Ipswich and dent their hopes for top 2. Hate those self-entitled pricks and how Kipre claimed they would catch us after their win against us.

Pressure is all on Ipswich now.
Too much to suggest it’s a must win for Ipswich ? They were bang average for most of their game today although did stretch Millwall especially in the second half but we beat them if they turn up and play the same way on Monday

EMC has scored some absolutely crucial goals this season. Stoke, Bristol, today, Southampton…rapidly in contention for player of the season if these performances continue.

Just a pity this illness is continuing to impact the squad as otherwise I’d back us to win all 3 next week. As it is, we can afford a bit of a regression.
