A lot of people were panicking. I could see us finding a ray of sunlight and punching through the clouds, but it was nervy today and we had to be patient ultimately.

There seems to be two extremes, calling everyone shit, and now because we won, over exaggerating some performances.

I thought we looked quite laboured in places, and a few players maybe not quite sharp. However, both Thomas and Kitching, along with Rushworth were brilliant in my opinion. I thought MvE and JDS looked off it, so I'm quite surprised to see therefore that the latter is getting such glowing reviews.

In the end though, we had a couple of shaky performances recently and I think it was important to win today. We did that, and I think the rest of it is therefore pretty irrelevant. Hopefully it can give us the step up for this busy Christmas period.

Anyone who thinks it's going to be anything other than nervy performances and etching out results from here on in is new to the Championship

Gritty win today, i suspect that we'll need a couple more of them before the season is out.
However you win, getting the 3 points is important for confidence, after 2 difficult away games, this will be a boost.

Toss up between Rushworth and Thomas for MOTM, i thought Thomas was excellent today. Reads the game so well and just seemed to be mopping up everything.
I thought he covered a lot of MVE's ground, who was understandably blowing today. I noticed he was coughing constantly and did well to make it through the 90 mins. Flu can really take it out of you so hopefully by next week he is feeling a bit more like his normal self.
Good game for the defence today, a clean sheet is always welcome.

That was harder work than it needed to be. Looked in complete control for the first 20ish minutes then seemed determined to keep giving them the ball.

Rushworth an easy choice as MOTM, bailed us out of the shit today. Not exactly a classic goal either but a wins a win and we needed that today.

Nice to not have to get up every couple of minutes because someone needed a piss or to go and buy food :ROFLMAO:

I thought the fans around me were moany as hell today.

Rudonis fucking shit, get him off
JDS is a liability fucking shit
Eccles should have started
Grimes all he does is go sideways
Mve always gives it away
Rushworth good keeper and but can't kick for shit
Bobby Thomas should be taking the long throws mve is shit

All heard near me today!

Emotion isn't an excuse. Some fans don't deserve the success we have got. Although tbh sounds like they ain't enjoying it anyway!
Crikey, where do you sit, The Statler & Waldorf stand?

Take the points, park the performance & don’t over analyse is my take. Wasn’t peak performance from anyone, can tell we’re carrying players and it’ll be good to not have a midweek game & hopefully get through this period unscathed with January window round the corner.

Good teams have a way of picking up wins & that’ll do & keeps confidence at CBS!

The point at Preston may seems massive come the end of the season, despite everyone being rightly pissed off with it not being 3!

While players sit down after the game and are recorded saying the fans were great ‘again’, the atmosphere won’t change. It wouldn’t hurt to ask for more.

Can we all please recognise this is a class group of players. I thought we were the better side throughout, but Bristol City definitely had their moments too, to be honest.

This is the Championship, we are not going to have many easy games, Bristol City and Preston are both very capable Championship sides, and to pick up four against them is very good going.

Special group of players and a great win!

Thought we were the better side for most of the game but a bit lucky to get all three points. Rushworth made a couple great saves and the ref chalked of a goal handball that provably should have stood. But we hit the woodwork twice and swamped them for periods. The sort of game that champions walk away from with 3 points in the bag

Dasilva is such an unbelievably tidy player - just checked the stats, he had more touches than anyone on the pitch and made the same number of passes as Grimes. That touch bringing it down out of the sky after a Bristol clearance in the first half was sublime.

I maintain he’s technically one of if not the best in the squad.

He's like an extra midfielder at times.

In fact, he's better on the ball than most midfielders in this division.

The forests will have burned, the icecaps melted, Europe will have been ravaged by decades of war, humanity, dominated by their AI overlords, will be eking out an existence from what little resources remain

Bristol City and Preston will still both be very capable Championship sides.

A couple from the Bristol forum.

Enjoy your 12th place trophy, you can put it next to all your other 12th place trophies 😇

And remember, compared to Bristol City, we ARE a massive club 🥰
I love how us being good just has the whole league rattled. Fucking Bristol City ffs, the most depressingly mediocre Championship club (outside of Preston) i can think of.

Struggled to get around the back 5 - thought they were pretty physical and the ref let a lot go - one Lino was not that good - they had plenty of chances as their passing was good - I think some of our guys were not quite match for yet - if Milan had that flu it knocked me out further three days - Rudi is also just coming back but three points - have it ! Rushworth doing a supreme job !
