For the Enemy because Gus wont be playing.

Doesn’t want to sour himself before his big return in Jan

If we can make it to the next international break unbeaten then the bookies may as well pay out on us already

Stoke away trickiest fixture.

Others will try and do a Norwich/Blackburn on us-defend and be over physical-especially Pompey, Sheff U & Wrexham.

What they don’t realise is the great physical shape we in under Lampard & like Blackburn found out-they ran out of steam and we didn’t.

I think we need to change our mindset (difficult for Cov fans). None of those teams will want to be playing us at the moment. Let’s go and beat them. There really isn’t any reason that we can’t.

Game 16 Sunderland came off the top IIRC and never got back there again. Can’t see Boro Millwall and Bristol giving the same chase Leeds Burnley and Sheff Utd did though.

Have you changed your opinion after yesterday’s games? I’d say Watford will give them all sorts of problems.

Indeed the first two games for them have been far from easy.
10 men might have shagged them out.
There was a statistic that teams playing after a match against that Swansea side that passed everyone to death, did not usually win their next match.
Lets hope not and their defence play better than they did in the first half against us.

If the next game was midweek, then yes I would agree they would be vulnerable, but a week to recover should be sufficient.

Watford are a formidable team at home and I can see them taking at least a draw against Boro.

Looking pretty good. 9 from 4 so far. Point at Stoke would be perfect. Then onto probably our hardest five so far after that.

next 9 we need 15 points, to be on track at half way
anything else is a bonus
wins against stoke and middlesbrough amongst those ideally

Reckon we win both at home and one away, and we lose an away game. Nine points would be a great outcome when three of them are away from home.

on track so far. Here's hoping we get the system right from the start vs. Stoke and we end up with 10 or 12 from this block.

Next four or five away games are absolutely honking. Sort of games we find out what we’re made of. Would be amazing to have Rudi back and a fit Torp after the break.

Yeah, my copium is our home form under Lampard. Win four out of five home games before Jan and nothing else, that's 43 points from 24 at 1.8 PPG, on track for 82 points. Like you say, let's see what we're really made of.

The away games do look tough but I would expect us to get something from them. I think between now and the end of the year it's all about our home form. 10 points from our 5 home games and 4 from our 5 from our away games wouldn't be too bad. I'm hopeful we can find a win from those 5. One positive thing is the last 9 or 10 games of the season don't look too bad.

The run after the break is the toughest of the whole season and you could even go as far as to say that it's a season defining one as the shape we're in after it will tell us what we're aiming at from January onwards.

Think we need to be looking at 12 minimum from the home and 6 from the away. Southampton are in there away which is hope we can win, and only Ipswich at home I’d be worried about.

The two regular season home games we lost under Lampard were against the runaway auto promoted sides, there isn't such a team this season (or at least not yet). We will be due a real stinker of a home performance at some point though, so it'll probably come against a side we're not expecting.

Equally I think we can go to one of Stoke/Boro/Ipswich/Preston and give them a bloody nose.
