We are barely into the season so far, and historically the teams benefitting from parachute payments finish at the top.
Ofcourse , but many clubs that finish in the playoffs or top half pushing for playoffs do not .. and some that get promoted havent either

He says he knows we go to 23 games a season as season ticket holders. He’s got some front to even compare this with other sports/ concerts etc. They are generally limited to one show anyway. BTW. I don’t know of many people who’d watch The Enemy on 23 occasions in 9 Months. Apples and pears.

This makes no sense?

Just saying everybody sees reasonable differently .. literally nobody but our fans seem to be backing our prices

My biggest gripe is the kids matchday tickets , we could probably overlook the adult prices
Guess the justification is a seat is a seat.

I have no idea what people are worth , but owner wealth doesnt directly correlate to success

Stoke
Well the point im making isnt relative to success, its that for an owner whos not as wealthy maximising ticket revenue will be more important.

In a league where there’s already insane commercial revenue it’s totally unnecessary

Fulham is an extreme example but in end you pay more for Premium entertainment in every sector

Well at some clubs but some clubs are far more reasonable in the same league for an elite product.. not all clubs are charging silly money

If you are owned by a Sheikh or a billionaire they are more willing to accept more leniancy in ticket price. We aren't particularly owned by a wealthy man.

I’m sure Ipswich fans were backing their prices to Southampton - £43. You’ll see other clubs following suit in the next 2-3 seasons, at least the ones with high demand.

There is a cost of living crisis and people also need to account that the costs for businesses to operate has gone up a lot too. Clubs will find ways to pass the costs back to consumers be it through concession stands, ticket prices or merchandise.

Despite the £45 price band, it will be cheaper to support us than the likes of Leicester, Blues and WBA. Unless you happen to be someone who only wants to go to 2-3 ‘big games’ a year.

Regarding Fulham, aren't the really expensive tickets in that stupid posh new stand? There were cheaper tickets available in other sections?

Be intersted to see how youd feel if we were 21st in the league

Genuine question now. If we have 5000 matchday tickets and we assume that we reduce from £35 to £20, do you expect King just to take the £2m shortfall lost from Revenue a season on the chin?

Yeah most of them.

Although for most PL games, you'll struggle to get an adult ticket below £60.

Not defending that, but their average fan can afford a ticket around those prices. I'd imagine their fan base average salary is double that of people supporting Coventry.

OK so assume half of them are kids tickets, Thats £1m in revenue lost in the season. Do you expect him to just absorb that?
The club isnt running off overcharging kids , we arent a special case .. as said many times already make money elsewhere

£1m is a lot of money.

He's just bought the stadium, getting lots of gigs and events booked up. Maybe he is boosting his revenues through these and will adjust prices after that.

To be honest on kid prices, how does the family zone line up cost wise? Isn’t it £130 for a ST which comes in at around £5.65.

I get the decision especially before we bought the arena as tickets would have been the clubs only revenue bar tv rights and commercial. Maybe we can look at in the future but for now I get it and if it means the family zone and season tickets are cheaper, maybe that’s the sacrifice we have to make?
