He's obviously not MVE on a number of fronts but he's proven he's a decent RB and when he was come on, he's generally done pretty good.
No one denying that. Just said it's one of the pre game factors to take into accountHe's obviously not MVE on a number of fronts but he's proven he's a decent RB and when he was come on, he's generally done pretty good.
Yeah, Watford are a better team than the league table shows at the moment. Wrexham aren't.Watford had power and pace to trouble us when they went long.
Wrexham dont.
Agreed, from relegation back in 2001, it was a state of managed decline. I fell into this category but was also at uni in those dark days. Seen Marcus Tudgay and Sam Ricketts at my local Sainsbury’s when doing my shopping (we had Morecambe away in the cup) and genuinely couldn't care. Not even that, we've pulled in people who always considered themselves fans of the club but weren't quite passionate enough to be supporters when we were playing in League 2.
I know loads of people from school who were big Cov fans who just became disenfranchised.
Watford did aim for the ball over the top, but I think they threatened most simply exploiting all that space in midfield. Kieffer Moore isn’t there for his pace let’s be honest, he’s there as a target man. Nullify him you nullify their threat.Watford had power and pace to trouble us when they went long.
Wrexham dont.
Not so much a scalp, but that annoying shit team above their station that teams love knocking back down a peg or two. I think fans, more than teams/players/managers want to beat them for their sheer arrogance. I dont think it'll be in FL team talk on Friday about how big they are and how this is our Wembley and a big scalp if we can take it. But the fans forum, as will be with most forums this season, will be Kevin Keegan "love it if we went there and beat them" simply because they want to see them knocked back down! Theyre also bang average and I dont think any fan wants to go and get rolled over by bang average, overpaid, journeymen.Find it funny that people obsessed with Wrexham and how much they dislike them, then say they are annoyed by the notion that their fans say they are a scalp for some teams

Cardiff yes..... Wrexham not so much. A few years ago they were in L2 before relegation to NL in 2008 they averaged 4k. Never been very well supported since late 70s/80s when they had a brief 4 years in second for their one and only time at that level they averaged 14k, 10k, 6k and 4k.What do you mean newer fans? I can guarantee you 99% in that stadium have supported Wrexham and Cardiff for years.
Like other Welsh fans who hate England but don’t want to play in their own pyramidLet's hope some of their minority numbskull followers, dont sing the Lizzie In A Box, song rumoured to have been heard in the stands a few times there recently.
How about nicking the dirge LIIIIIIIVVVERPOOL to DEEEEAAAADDPOOL?Theyre better than you,
Theyre better than yoooooou,
Thor, Iron-Man, Spider-Man,
Theyre better than you!
Or.....
Youre Just a poor man's Venom, poor man's venom, you're just a poor man's venom! POOR MANS VENOM! Youre just a poor man's Venom.

We could just counter it with incessant sheep bleating. Moral high ground etcLet's hope some of their minority numbskull followers, dont sing the Lizzie In A Box, song rumoured to have been heard in the stands a few times there recently.
Reminds me of one of Mitchell Johnsons worst ever days in cricket at Edgbaston. Every time he got the ball the entire crowd chimed in with MIIIIIITCHELLLLLLLLLL! MIIIIIITCHELLLLLLL! Had a shocker of a day!How about nicking the dirge LIIIIIIIVVVERPOOL to DEEEEAAAADDPOOL?
Quite common for fans to slow chant an opposition players name as a pisstake in US sports, especially baseball.

Crowd really got in his head! Last time they were in level two, they had the same average crowd as they’re getting now.Cardiff yes..... Wrexham not so much. A few years ago they were in L2 before relegation to NL in 2008 they averaged 4k. Never been very well supported since late 70s/80s when they had a brief 4 years in second for their one and only time at that level they averaged 14k, 10k, 6k and 4k.
The North Wales area has potential though and with new interest in football round those parts (and tourists) could see them getting around 20k.
Some of their fans still think they will build the 55k stadium though...![]()
i’d be surprised if they sang anything at all after watching them last night!Wonder if these cunts will unironically sing "where were you were shite" at us?
‘One team in Wales’i’d be surprised if they sang anything at all after watching them last night!
And we should reply by singing 'We were at Northampton & Birmingham & Burton, who the fuck are you?'Wonder if these cunts will unironically sing "where were you were shite" at us?
I'd play that team too, especially after seeing last nights game, although the Wrexham team will look very different the system wont. I think Kitch and Thomas can cope with the threat of moore, although I do think Lampard will go 3 at the back again like at Pompey. There not a great side, and defensively they are shite so hope we go and try to attack them and cause problems for them.Would be really disappointing to lose our unbeaten record to these. We really should have too much for them in every department, plus we've not played midweek.
Definitely play a front four of EMC, BTA, Saka and Wright as the movement and trickery will cause them nightmares. Then let Simms come on after an hour or so to bully them.
I'd also go with a back four as I think having that extra man in midfield will allow us to control the game. Grimes can drop deep to pick up the second balls from their punts up to Moore and he can cover Dasilva if they try a diagonal. Hopefully Torp is back but if not I'd go with Eccles instead of Allen (bit harsh on him as he scored on Saturday).
Just play our normal fast attacking football and we should hopefully be coming home with another 3 points.
Nice to see a post about Coventry city on here...Just got to keep on trucking... the further the gap becomes, the more margin we have for error to stay in the top 2.
I think everyone believes KKH is more than adequate quality to play. For me it's more about it being his first start cince the cup game?KKH picked up multiple POTS awards last year at Preston. I've no worries at all with him filling in for MvE. If we didn't have the best RB in the league, I would be very happy with him at RB.
After watching the game last night, I feel confident about Friday. There is always a chance of a banana skin but as long as the players don't take anything for granted, we'll have too much.
0-2 PUSB.
As long as we have our front 4 we should beat them easily, they are static at the back and HW and BTA should capitalise on balls down the sides and through the centre, I expect to see HW getting the same sort of balls that led to the sending off against Watford.I'd play that team too, especially after seeing last nights game, although the Wrexham team will look very different the system wont. I think Kitch and Thomas can cope with the threat of moore, although I do think Lampard will go 3 at the back again like at Pompey. There not a great side, and defensively they are shite so hope we go and try to attack them and cause problems for them.
He's looked sharp whenever he's come on as sub, I'm not too worriedI think everyone believes KKH is more than adequate quality to play. For me it's more about it being his first start cince the cup game?
Even the best need a run of games to get going sometimes
Hopefully he jumps right into it today but it would be understandable if his touch and reactions etc are not at peak levels
Are you @fatso in disguiseCan't see any real issue against this lot. We should come out winners. We start fast, keep the ball and we run away with it in the first 45 minutes.
