Gone down hill since he left?

There is a lot that happened around that time, but my money is on the strategic changes to the coaching set-up, from the departure of Dennis Lawrence and Adi Viveash to the introduction of the psychobabble Performance Director and four first team coaches who had very little in terms of a track record.
Was that all down to Doug or did Robins have a hand in it? I thought him and Adi seemed to bond really well.

Oh, and the GK coach is clearly a waste of space - he can't get any of them to perform in all respects (shot-stopper, cross-catcher, commander of the box, communicator with defence).

I have no idea if Boddy was good bad or indifferent, but it's amazing how fans from no business background decided that we'd been promoted above him and he was out of his depth at Championship level, despite having zero clue about his role.

In general terms, if I asked a complex maths question, not more than a handful on this forum could answer it without Google, having attained only basic maths as a child, yet stragely, everyone has an opinion on the inner workings of a football club despite most only having only kicked a ball about a bit and rarely willing to say 'I don't know'.

Think you might be missing the basic premise of in Internet forum.

I feel like we’re just blaming everything and anything for our decline in form now. It’s King, it’s Robins, it’s the players, it’s Claire-Marie Roberts, it’s Dean Austin, it’s a lack of SISU, it’s because Lawrence left, it’s because Adi left, it’s the new coaches, it’s the refs, it’s the ball-boys fault.

I don’t think anyone of us really know the exact reason why we’re underperforming but I’m pretty sure Dave Boddy’s departure is not the main reason we’re playing so poorly 😂

That was the conclusion King came to.

How do you know that? Perhaps Boddy was saying you don’t need a performance director, multiple iPad holders aka coaches, keep Adi, keep kids ticket prices reasonable - and therefore for some reason his face didn’t fit any more.

No. None of that. It was to do with the kit deal when the distributor went bust.

On reflection I think they were right, but he was a decent guy and we were promoted above him. He was fine at L1 & L2 though so will do a good job at the Moors I'm sure. Working under difficult times and only the public face without authority here. Certainly a lot worse characters than Dave under our SISU rule.

He was hated at every other club he was at as his "skill" was moving clubs from their existing ground or lease arrangement - just another who worshiped at the Sisu Temple and took his acolytes with him

I can only speak as I find. I met him a few times and he was always courteous and I came away feeling he'd been honest and genuine.

Couldn't really give two hoots what Worcester City or Newport fans think of him tbh, I will take him as I found him here and he was a decent bloke who did a reasonable job under a poor regime and does not deserve one bit to be filed away with some of the jokers SISU employed during their time at the club - He was absolutely embarrassing Wasps towards the end of their disgraceful ownership of The Arena as well

No doubt the club outgrew his ability as a CEO in the end however

I was not a fan and understand totally why King got rid of him.
Though with hindsight he got on well with Robins and I think that relationship was crucial to our rise through the leagues.

Though the fact he's at Solihull Moors now probably shows that he was above his level as you said earlier.

Wasn't he in charge when we had the pitch become unplayable due to the Rugby World Cup, and seemingly didn't notice or react in time?

I don't recall him really embarrasing them, more getting thrown around.

Plenty on here defended him, CEO bearing no responsibility for the pitch being fucked was some take.

Feels slightly unfair given a) we had no control over the Rugby being played there, b) we didn't own the pitch, and c) the Rugby tournament was played over the weekend that the Championship season started. Didn't leave much time to react to an issue on a pitch you didn't own.

By Sisu standards he was decent. The best CEO of the Sisu era.
However since we’ve become a proper club, it’s now blindly obvious how badly the club was run even when he was CEO

What when the club were completely not at fault and were unable to play home matches due to the actions of our former slum landlords?

Dave held them to account for it and called them out
