Nick Proschwitz, Denzel Slager, Matthieu Manet, Josh mcquoid, Jack McBean and Yakubu to start with
TBF you are correct and these were mostly pushed to the back of my mind. Manset had a chant at the training ground if I remember correctly which went semi viral. Proschwitz was wanted permanently I think. McBean was an odd signing and only played two games. Slager was signed by Elvis in the summer after Wilson and Clarke, what a weird time. Was McQuoid involved in the Wilson exchange?

already answered, maybe throw in Andre Wright, the fella who was the driver for another more famous player? There's been many awful players in our "dark ages".
Lateef Elford-Alliyu, was Saido Berahinos driver i think. Dark, dark times.

He'll be back to start, I'm sure.

With everyone banging on about the match being Wednesday I hadn't bothered to double check, and assumed it was Wednesday night, not Tuesday night/Wednesday morning our time (which did sound odd).

He'll probably fly out this afternoon and be back tomorrow. Plenty of time to make the squad, and given how the match went, he'll be keen to start.

No stress.

Get him gone in the summer.

Useless c**t.

Who would have him ? An absolute waste of a jersey.

Shocking
Lazy barsteward

Useless clown, fuck him and simms off in the summer.

Lazy useless bastard
Shit first touch
No strength
No passion
Like watching Bambi

So fucking proud of every one of them but struggling with him. Absolute soft twat.

Dreadful performance get rid of someone will have him

Plays centre forward like football is a non-contact sport. Fucking fairy.

I wonder if any of the above has changed his mind about him?

😆

In fairness, the above comments were made in the aftermath of his poor showing in the playoffs.

Not on the list but I was critical of him as didn’t think he suited Lampard especially after the playoff Semi final.

Needless to say I was a fecking idiot 🤣

Loois brilliant so far, think it helps with the opportunity he has with the World Cup

I'm fucking fed up of the haji Wright apologists. It's almost December and the player wouldn't walk into a league 2 team. Embarrassing.

Whittaker cost a 1M ....that's zbout what I'd value Haji Wright. 2 equals.
You missed some great posts from this poster.
Imagine if we had sold him for £1M and he was now playing like this for another team, perhaps a competitor in this league.
Seriously though, people can get frustrated when your star signing isn't playing well, but that often happens.
If he has a good world cup we could probably get somewhere near what we got for Vik if we decided to sell.

I was lucky enough to see the 2 Nathan's play together, Eccleston & Delfouneso, at Oldham
I remember being up there for a midweek match and getting beat in the days they had Ricky Holden wearing gloves. Can't remember the score or scorers only that Killer was playing for them and it was bloody cold!

The ones from @Londonccfcfan in his first season here are the best as someone has said.

He wanted us to send him back in a free transfer and said he wouldn’t get in a decent Sunday league team.

If he scores 20-30 in the league and bags a few in the World Cup, I’d expect the Vik fee as a minimum. Keeping in mind he had a year on his contract

I think hes more valuable to us than the money we could achieve for him due to his age. He's still got good years ahead of him, but he's the same age as Gyokeres and we sold Vik when he was 24 with more potential. I think Wright would get £15m and we couldn't replace him for that.

Transfer values have gone up since we sold Vik, Haji is only 6 weeks older than Vik and age didn't stop Arsenal paying £60M for him. I appreciate next summer is another year away but clubs will pay a premium for goals.

I wonder if his miraculous return to form has anything to do with the world cup next summer and the USA having competition for strikers 🤔

Either way, its great to see him scoring goals regularly, now all we have to do is keep him fit.

No one is paying anywhere near that if we are still a Championship club and if we aren't we won't be looking to sell anyway.

We played them in a league cup match in early 90s, Wegerle was sent off and we lost 2-0. I thought the gloves wearer was Neil Pointon & the Oldham fans called him Psycho like we did with Stuart Pearce. He went to take a throw in & we were singing "Psychos got his gloves on" 😂

Sorry i thought you were suggesting the £60 million figure in your last post. I agree we would get around the fee we sold Vik for probably if he keeps the form up and if we don't get promoted. Him keeping the form up will certainly make us getting promoted more likely though so hopefully its not something we'll even have to consider.

I still don't agree. We got £25m for Vik at 24 out of the Championship with greater potential and he went to Arsenal after 2 years in the top Portugese league scoring 100 goals.

Wright would be 28 next summer. Still only played Champ level and a different kind of player. As I said, I think we'd get £15m if he gets 25 goals, possibly up to 18ish, but doubt anyone is spending £25m for likely no return.
