Well judging off the first half of Denmark v Scotland Torp can't be that far off a call up?!

Yes, he’s not going to be posting that kind of overperformance but you’d expect he will get at least a couple more free kicks and long-range goals throughout the season, which by their nature are low xG chances.
I assume such xG over performance takes a while to normalise as well in a player that doesn't usually have shots with a particularly high xG

He should always over perform his xG because it doesn’t take into account the players individual ability and he’s a brilliant striker of the ball.

I reckon he’d choose some death metal, Nordic countries love that shit.

backed him from the start. intelligent posters could see the player in there

Yeah, my lad and I were at Hillsborough when he made his debut and scored that wonderful goal. Always thought he was a special player, but he really is starting to get going now. Keep him fit and he could be one of the stand out players in the Championship.

He obviously wont keep up the scoring rate hes at but if he manages 15 this year the vultures will be circling.

It took people a little while to accept the Rudoni>O'Hare discussion before it became undeniable Rudoni was several levels clear. Torp is about to have a season that buries the best of Hamer. Wouldn't mind him back as a bench option when Blunts get relegated though.

Just very very different players. I think under Lampard Hamer would have got 20 a season just because of how his gets his CMs to play.

As it is he's pissing away another year playing Blunt ball and is probably at an age where he'll be on the way down soon. Meanwhile we have an ever improving Torp, Rudoni and Grimes bossing things. Happy days for us, not so much for him.

Look at where he started his run for the third goal yesterday, he gambled and bust a gut to get into the box, where as the Birmingham players around him were all ball watching and left behind him.

That looked like Frank Lampard in his prime.

After only 7 games, he's only 1 goal behind his total for the whole of last season, and its noticeable how no one mentions Sheaf on the forum anymore. Hopefully Torp can stay fit and have a massive impact this season.
