But again unless the judge has ignored sentencing guidelines, which is unlikely, the issue is with those rather than anything specific to this case.
Seems to be common now that we have people complaining about sentences when they are in line with the guidelines.
If people want tougher sentencing then that's fine, there's an argument for that. But in at least the short term you're going to face the issue of where to put people if you're sending more people to prison for longer.
Even if the money can be found for a large prison building program you've got to find suitable locations, go through planning etc. Its not going to be a quick process.
