I did the Cup, can't face that London driving again so soon, so I'm not going to this one.

Are there any coaches? I could go but I wouldn't want to drive.

I was in two minds as I like an away game in London, but usually means time off work if midweek. Then when we drew them in the cup and the tickets were so cheap it was a no brainer to go to that one instead. Not completely decided yet, but will probably end up watching this on the dodgy stick!

Annoyed I couldnt get one for the cup.

Chronically annoyed that its a closed shop & think that club should ballot a % of away tickets

Really pleased it made general sale and snapped up some tickets on Friday afternoon!

This game has duly shown it isn't a closed shop.

Similarly with Sheffield Wednesday.

4/5 games a season are a closed shop but the rest are not.

That’s it’s, and then it’s purely down to someone moaning because the system doesn’t suit them - I.e can’t get a Leicester ticket.

it’s a pretty decent system to be fair. Perfect no, but pretty good.

It's no different at any of the big clubs. Granted, not a "big club" anymore and no European football, but i know a Utd fan. She's a season ticket holder. To keep her points up and guarantee big games, she has to buy a ticket for every EFL, FA Cup, and early stages Europa League (non relevant anymore).
The people who have accumulated the points are the ones who have spent thousands over the years following the club home and away.

To get my points, I had a ST at St. Andrews, a ST for the Covid season I couldn't even use, and rarely miss an away game since the ST.Andrews season. It has cost me thousands for me and my lad. Thousands. And that's just tickets. That's not including diesel, parking, and food whilst were out. To put those hours, miles and money in, people deserve priority over somebody who just wants to do Leicester away, or just wants to turn up for a big away FA Cup game against a prem team!

I think the sales for this game and the Millwall cup game show that while it’s not a closed shop, there is occasionally a problem with people buying cheap tickets just for the points.

It isn’t entirely fair that people with no intention of going will hoover up tickets to boost their points tally at the expense of people who genuinely want to build up their points and will actually show up to the game to do so.

Yes for the cup but not for this. I’m not sure people are paying £34 for 20 points with no intention of going… just so they have a better chance of going to a different away game.

How often has it happened that you can recall ?

Once ? Twice ? Ever

The turnout at millwall was still tremendous and id wager that not too many more would have genuinely purchased tickets

Well it’s why I said “occasionally”

It was a very good turnout at Millwall - I hope there’s just as good a turnout for the game in a couple of weeks - but the fact remains that a fair amount of people bought tickets with no intention of using them and some people missed out as a result. Again, I’m not saying it’s a huge scandal but it’s also not really in the spirit of the loyalty system either.
