Fancy being the new First Team Kit and Laundry Assistant?

I've been discussing above But:
1) when he came in everything was based on 5 years. Players contracts were 4 years, rental agreement was 5 years.
2) he's built up the commercial side of the club massively and quickly.
3) Pruned the squad to a streamlined mode with value and strength. we're now a side that can regularly compete for to the top 6, with a decent and big name manager.
4) bought the Stadium - the key one. It requires a bit of maintenance, bit of investment - but crucially its within the club structure. To me, in its current state, it only makes sense when you're looking to sell the total package.
5) The current squad appears to be reaching the first part of their contracts. first batch of post Vik and Hamer contracts up for renewal next season. Can we afford this? crucially - Can Doug?
6) Hes not in it for the love of the club or game - hes here to make money, Hes also a hedgefund manager

ultimately Doug is risk averse. Does he want to stay and gamble on getting us to the premier league? Thats gonna take further investment. Or Does he take what is likely to be around £30m profit whilst we are where we are.

I'm probably wrong, But i get the feeling - as Tim Fisher once aluded to, we're at the top of the cycle.

There is zero evidence that Doug is risk adverse ….

He has spent all the transfer income and more on the squad and training facilities. He’s just bought the stadium that requires material investment …

A risk adverse guy doesn’t buy a football club, banks some of the transfer income, and doesn’t invest in the way he is ….

The match fitness is a big thing though to be honest.

Of the free agents who could add something to us, I think they are out of our wage bracket.
How can someone who is a free agent and thus unemployed, possibly be out of our wage bracket???

How much do you get on the dole these days?

It will be interesting, but either way i cant see him coming back here. If he impresses at Wigan they will take him on, if he doesn't then we won't want him back.

I have a feeling you might be right unfortunately. Can't really remember the last Coventry player to go out on loan and turn it around here.

Really hoping he can though. Looked quite good in recent appearances and one of the main things he seemed to be lacking was experience

What is he? 21? A bit of a late developer physically, perhaps. He'll not want to end up in L1 or L2 at his age, I'm sure that he'd rather go abroad. If he survives the "welcome" then he'll come back useful. I reckon he'll be training with the first team next summer and it's a take it from there thing with him.

What ? It’s a stronger squad than last season , top scorers and we’ve just made the defence better, we’ll be fine
Our first 11 is superb I’m not coming on here being critical of that

teams have stronger squads though and they’ll prove beneficial and well run out of steam unless we recruit in January

shame we didn’t get a couple of loans in that we’ve had months to plan

It’s just so frustrating, a couple of season loans would have sufficed and it might have meant we could get through till next summer

They’ve sort of left themselves in a predicament where we have no choice but to recruit

People are trying to convince themselves that BTA and Simms are good enough attacking depth, before even considering our depth if we get 1 attacker injured

The money I suspect was there, we were bidding on Woolfenden and Hughes. Come January we need to literally be ready to go on target a or b in positions x y z.

feels like Deja vu from last summer, fully understandable why fans are aggrieved we’re all onboard and I feel on the playing side I expected more I can’t lie

have a look at Leicester, Ipswich, Southampton, and the other top teams, the bench isn’t great, we’re right up there
