Because when you are in a positive position you press home your advantage and invest, just as Liverpool have done.
You back your manager and maximize his options.
I wouldn't blame FL for considering his position.
FL has fewer midfield and frontline options than he did yesterday, the squad is not balanced and selling one of only six midfielders without replacement is close to negligent.
We could have pressed for the auto's but now we will be lucky to better fifth.

Midfield area isn't ideal but by retaining Andrews it suggests he will get minutes
Forward areas hasn't been significantly weakened really
Would've liked a loanee who covers all forward areas but it isn't the end of the world

I take issue with so much of this but here's the clipped notes.

1) We aren't Liverpool

2)you don't just spunk money for the sake of it

3) Lampard would've had these discussions with King way before today

4)The league this year is a crock of shit

We put a "confirmed bid" in for a cb who we didn't get. But bought a cb. Which position did we fail on that was confirmed and wasn't just twaddle on here?

Make it make sense....

King buys the stadium:
- fans saying they would be happy if nothing else happens in the window, this is more important

Remaining transfer window:
- loan out players that have played minutes of championship football and / or are ineffectual
- rob Wrexham blind for a player that hasnt played well for 18 months and is injured frequently
- sign a highly rated centre back - a position that we have been begging for and stated as the highest priority
- havent lost a single player currently considered first team
- fans moaning

I didn't say that it had.

What I did say is that fans were saying it was so important that we could do nothing else in the window and they would still be happy.

And yet, we effectively managed to swap a player who hasn't played well in a long time and isn't really first team anymore for a cracking centre half, which is a position we really need and made a profit into the bargain. And people are now moaning. Really....?

Whoever is saying that is talking rubbish but I don't think buying the stadium has grossly impacted our activity . Obviously we have missed out on players but we aren't in a bad place currently.
Wouldve liked to see , like you , a versatile attacking player but neither of us know what happens in these dealings

We have had record kit and season ticket sales so the transfer window is an 8/10.

The stadium is totally seperate to transfer business and the fact people are feeling the need to include it when they rate the window suggestions the transfer window has actually been quite poor.
