I think people are questioning whether he’s an upgrade on Thomas and Kitch, not the squad.
On the few occasions I’ve watched him he would be an upgrade on Thomas.

Woolfenden sounds like Ipswich version of Josh Eccles, does a job when required, came through the academy and been part of a successful team but just lacking an edge at the top level. Hope he does we'll but I'm not convinced about this signing.

Woolfenden's not had a lot of football in the last year. I see him as another L1/lower champ player like a few is out team/squad but that seems to be the market that we're in. Would strengthen the squad.

Reading the Ipswich forum, it seems like he’s the Ipswich version of Josh Eccles if he was actually better than Matt Grimes and deserved to start most games in front of him.
