Think it will all happen now, focus on game until yesterday. We must forget the start, we need another winger also at least.

yes we need centre half, and an upgrade ideally, however must say Bidwell has gone pretty well at CB in the 2 he’s played as a 5th choice option.
He’s not really been tested on either match to be honest.

I don’t think our match has any baring on the focus. Austin and King will be active anyway …

With the purchase of the arena out of the way I’m sure we will see progress this week

Where is the link?

The club have never announced a new contract so if he’s right it’s ITK stuff. But the club didn’t announce an option either until Lampard mentioned it. They seem to be much stingier with contract info. Almost like they don’t care about my sticky thread at all 😢

Agree re testing. But playing centre half lessens need for him to be exposed by pace. I’d be hoping we don’t see him there, but in an emergency could be handy as 5th choice.

Had this conversation on the way home last night, it would not surprise me if Lati leaves before Monday IF we do get another CB & end the window with 2 proper RB's. There were rumours of him being unhappy with game time in January and if we are to sign another CB I can't imagine him being playing 4th choice when our current 2 starting CB's are pretty much always available (baring another Kitchen red card)

Personally I would want 4 recognised CB's in the squad, but if MVE stays and someone comes in with 1.5 - 2 mill for Lati it wouldn't shock me if the club accepted and Bidwell/Perry were used as 4th & 5th choices at least until Jan.

-Upgrade Lati with Tyrese Asante (that’s your cover for RCB/RB)
-Bring in a LCB

Obviously it is easier said than done but that would be the ideal

Would be around £10m and cant see us spending that.

TA would likely only be a couple mil tops and Big Dick Doug has been throwing big bids out for CBs already.

This is also on the assumption MVE gets sold too as TA and KKH would be enough cover for RB. Gives us some extra money for someone in attack maybe?

I agree there is more value in the foreign market but can see why there's a good case for sometimes knowing what you are getting regarding players proven at this level, especially at CB.

I think the easiest way to think of a transfer deal is to think about when you are buying / selling your house. Often for the deal to work you need various parts of the chain to be in place at the same time. It doesn’t matter if your part is agreed if further down the chain the seller loses their buyer.

Therefore we may already have everything agreed with our transfer target including with the selling club, but they might not sanction the deal until they have the player they want secured, and that can happen right the way through the chain ….
Should we think of a medical as like a surveyors report then. 😁

Part of me thinks buying a £40m stadium has put an end to the transfer window but that would be foolish and Doug must have a plan

We need to get a move on now. I wasn’t worried but we are cutting it fine and I’m getting a bit tetchy now
Some would call this bedwetting :ROFLMAO:

For the record, I have been mildly worried since the week after Binks went with no apparent incoming

A week ago I would agree that I’m wetting the bed. But fact is we are running out of time and last night showed the massive gap between the fringe players and the starters

Looking back I was harsh on Brau. He was alright at left back but horrendous when he went to left wing. I think that clouded my judgement. I think he will be a good addition, but must give him time to settle

CB and a winger (who can play both sides), and I think we're done. If there's interest, sell Allen, Collins and possibly Bidwell. Loan out Obikwu and Andrews. Then we're all set.

He looked lost at LW but thats to be expected. At LB he was up and down the left side really well, tenacious and put in a bit of quality wiht that megs and cross. Don't think it will be long before hes starting LB
