I don't see anything wrong with Bassette's enthusiasm on the pitch, it's clearly his work behind the scenes that is the problem.

That must be it. He tries really hard, so it's certainly not lack of effort. He shows glimpses of the good player that I still think he could become.

If it's something behind the scenes the we won't know and that's how it should be. I do hope we can get him out on loan somewhere, for his sake as much as ours.

He was nursing a groin injury (I think) he probably still is

I imagine they’re leaving out anyone who isn’t 100%. Hopefully he’s OK for Oxford then has a bit of recovery time. Will be good to have him, Wright and Saka all fit and firing going into the next block of games.

I think Lampard said it was his groin I’m not definitely sure but he was definitely carrying a knock why he came off first against hull which was bizarre on first viewing

I guess as a cup team it's ok apart from Bidwell at CB which we all know. You'd have the likes of Eccles, Sheaf, Tats that would certainly play if fit.
Really hoping Simms does something. I don't enjoy thinking he's shit but he has to actually not be if he doesn't want to be accused of being so.

Team delayed. We saw coach as we were outside the ground. That was 15/20 mins ago. They're wandering around on the pitch at the mo, no training kit on.
