Think a fan park of some description would be best. Even add in an away fans zone as well to give them something near the ground.

Considering we have 26k going up nowadays I think any fan entertainment is available on the main site/ casino, Dhillons, burger bars, fast food from external companies will be Tesco side in a few months. If there was a 60k stadium it may be a different offer.

Perhaps a Hotel is an option but even that would be measured against demand. Pull the hotel out of the stadium and there’s potential 6000 seats (If building upwards)

Bloody hell some on here have become yampy since Doug bought the stadium. They can't do anything about the station (extended) because the train goes across the busiest line in Europe (Brum to Cov). If, and its a big 'if' then a shuttle could be doable but between the stadium and Nuneaton, not Coventry (haha). The only way they can improve access from the station, and they are doing it, is to have a better shuttle system.

I feel for you Robbie, people are going to have to change their habits at the end of the game as long as you haven't got a rush off for anything, not likely to be able to do that if you're stuck in a car park, just spend an hour after the game in the Casino, Anecdote or even shopping at Tesco's, they are also building two new food restaurants in the car park at Tesco's, but with a bit of luck, now that Doug Kings in charge let's hope we get a fans Village to use before the game and after the game.

That's very true but it's not beyond the realms of possibility to have a dedicated branch line to Nuneaton without crossing the WCML.

Definitely not me, but used to use the Countryman and the Star (as was) regularly.
We lived right on the northern edge of the village, and were surrounded by exiled Cov Kids, several of which were ex Standard, and Pete next door still worked at the GEC. All, like us, moved there for a cheap detached that was less than the semi we'd just sold in Coombe Park Road.
I think the guy that now runs the Countryman (Bricklayer's now) is also the offspring of a Cov Kid.
Loads of them around the village.

Can’t imagine they wouldn’t be, since they have Coventry United play there (and previously had Coventry Ladies).

Maybe we could also let them have a game or two at the CBS for the big weekend thing if they find themselves in the premiership any time soon

We have a unique opportunity to make money from away fans. There's already a bar outside the away end which does very well. Away fans have almost no options for pubs.

Personally don't like fanzones but they are popular and at £6 a pint, will make money. With our location, we could milk it more than we already do.

Our current set up is decent but it's overcrowded. The land opposite is a great opportunity. Birmingham have recently opened a Boxpark style venue and it seems to be very popular.

In the short term I suspect a lot of the work will be to tidy the place up. Despite the work Frasers did there's still plenty of the ground that looks a fucking mess. It needs a good clean and a lick of paint.

The cladding needs the whole lot doing like they did that one section.

In terms of developing the ground itself I suspect there's a limit to what can be done. We can look at moving the camera's to the other side, especially if no solution can be found to not being able to sell all the seats in the balcony.

I would look to make the gate from car park C to Jimmy Hill Way a proper junction, that wouldn't take much work. You could then close the road behind the east stand, which is closed on matchdays anyway - just leave it for emergency access. You can then extend the concourse out to where the edge of the road currently is. Create much needed room inside.

Put a massive bridge over the railway to eliminate the need for the shitty underpass and replace the steep, and dangerous when busy, steps on the north west side of the stadium with a gentle slop (think like Wembley Stadium). Would be safer and probably help get people away quicker.

Also put some staff in the car parks post game to properly direct people out rather than the current free for all. Do that as well as getting the lights changed so that you can prioritise people leaving the ground for that short space of time and you'd get people away far quicker once the road is reopened.

Don’t know whether Rowley’s Green WMC redevelopment is going ahead but that and surrounding land could theoretically be levelled and used as car parking. You could create an exit straight onto the A444 far enough up where traffic could get going pretty much straight away, whilst still keeping the roundabout closed.
