Well into the final week of the window.

I’ve got a feeling it will be a busy one for us.
Definitely 2 or 3 we'll be keen to move out of the club as well as in. Can't see any of the big boys leaving now though, which is good.

I’m guessing Bassette and Collins out if we can find someone who will take them, PL loan like this Godo lad in.

If the money is big enough for club and player the big players will still move …that’s football.

Austin et al know this and will have targets lined up in the event it happens ….

Brace yourself for a very nervy 9 days …

Ideally I’d prefer a loan with an option to buy.

Does anybody know how he went when he was on loan at Wigan?

He went well, but then picked up niggles.

plan was to send to on loan to champ last year, but deals fell through and silva said they had to keep him, which wasn’t the plan for his development.

silva pretty much said, he will go IF they can get bodies in.

Oh really? Someone of that ilk then. Bit of a gamble, not much experience. I can’t see us signing anyone big to go straight in at this point.
I'll trust that we know what we're getting. Looks talented.

Yeah looks a fun player
I think there's more upside to buying than loaning personally, assuming we've done our homework and the price is acceptable. They don't always come off of course but looks like the kind we develop into a monster here.

Well kind of, but not really.

Would you prefer to live in / be afforded significantly more security living in a leasehold house that you have a mortgage on, rather than a house which is part of a buy to let landlords portfolio?

Quite a few other football clubs lease their stadium land from the council; Newcastle and also (I think?) Notts Forest.

Shmmee said "We’re just renting it for a very long time." No it's a very long lease. No different to every flat, apartment in the country, I am sure their owners don't see themselves as renters. That SISU were obsessed with the freehold is just another instance of them being over-dogmatic and intent on importing American business practice to the UK regardless of the local situation. It took them nearly a decade to work out how to run a football club which shows a blinkered mentality to say the least.

A 230 year lease gives the Council some protection legally in a strategically important bit of real estate. If they want a better return, maybe invest in some better infrastructure.

Ayari was a bit lightweight but it was obvious that he could play. We've had a habit over the years of getting players just that one season or so too early. Chaplin was one, Clarke-Harris another that spring to mind just now

I mean we probably got Chaplin 4 seasons too early as it was only when he went to Ipswich when he actually smashed them in (although an ok first season at Barnsley), he was a good player for us and ultimately his sale ended up getting us a real striker to get us promoted when we needed it!

Looks like this is progressing...

Well if its right then good luck to Milan, signed off with a demolition of QPR, gives us also money to get a few over the line, maybe that Canadian RB/RW is coming in and Woolfenden too, Godo is valued at 600k (by TM make of that site as you will) even throw in Boving aswell 😂, probably getting carryed away lol

MvE going is probably the best thing that could happen if it frees up some cash for elsewhere. RB easily our strongest depth. Love him though and would be gutted. Hope we bring in a new character.

He's started the season on fire so it's extra sad but it makes sense and we could do a lot with that money. Seems like we've held firm on our value pretty well again.
