Imagine he and the Dutch lad are the options if MvE had gone…..clearly looks like not the case - I hope!Surely not another right back.

Collins will be a deadline day loan somewhere as will be Bassette - well that’s my guessLiverpool have linked with him over the last 2 weeks
Wants to support the City, don't blame him! Come on over lad and bring a few players with you

Lol it doesn't but he's just praising us and saying we're a more exciting project then saints, I'm just joking with the wanting to support usWhere's it say he wants to support us?

I’m going to throw it out there that the team that’s scored 12 goals in the last two games doesn’t need to spend any more money on strikers.
A good and fast start is key, Sunderland did it last year and just battered teams each week, ok they tailed off before the playoffs but I think squad depth contributed to that, we need to keep up this start and hopefully a couple more in and we should be good to goWe're a very exciting project.
Our players have started at speed as they already know how each other play but other clubs are still working themselves out. QPR are nowhere near ready yet. We could have a nice lead on a few clubs expected to finish near the top before they're ready.
A shit team like Queens Park Rangers still managed to score against us, so I would venture that there are other areas in greater need of investment.Steady on there we won't be coming up against a shit team like Queens Park Rangers every week.![]()
Yes but I do think complacency crept in and Lampard did mention that post match about going into games and thinking we should easily win.A shit team like Queens Park Rangers still managed to score against us, so I would venture that there are other areas in greater need of investment.
And the hands of our landlords![]()
Our City is buzzing? It's actually as shit as its ever been, apart from a new vape shop, a bookies and 14 new barber shops.
The busiest part of the city is the fountains in town where people take their kids to wash.
We are straved of success and have nothing to do, I wouldn't call that buzzing.
Don't you live in France?
Why, Doug King has said we have a 230 year lease and he went on to say we'll be here forever as long as we don't fuck it up.
No doubt you will say he probably will.
We’d have always been there forever. Just saying we don’t own it, we’re leasing it and will still need a working relationship with the council as our landlord if for example we want to develop it.

It’s dead in the water for us, hence why we are now after the wolfI see rumours of Palace wanting Hughes have been quashed ….
We're just not there as a club to be spending what Hull seemingly want for Hughes. It’s dead in the water for us, hence why we are now after the wolf
Tell me again after you learn about paragraphs.None us us have the info since the kitman was given his marching orders. FL hasn't said much. What he did say was that every window is fluid. We clearly have targets and options. We are fortunately at the stage where we are recruiting good players and other teams (in the Champ and elsewhere) would also like to sign good players. Those who already have good players are not always keen to sell them.
Scenario 1 - was clearly that Milan would be sold for in the region of £10m, therefore KKH was added in advance. That hasn't happened yet and may not transpire in this window. That isn't disastrous management or lack of ambition. It's maintaining a responsible approach.
I'm sure there will be plans in place for whatever the outgoings are. Remember KKH could play further up the right flank if required, so £4m on a backup argument falls down there. In the bad old days we'd have taken the 6m Euro on Milan from Besiktas. I'm sure we will bring a CB in to replace Binks in the squad, whether than is a loan or permanent none of us know. But it is clear to me it won't be the second coming of Arjan De Zuew. Stability when you finished with the second highest points of last years Championship, competing this year is good. It boggles my mind that some want a 'total clear out' every season just for the thrill of making 10/12 new signings who will take time to settle and may not improve us. Maybe I'm wrong and we should spaff £35m on new players and Doug walk away saying he 'gave it a go' while Reading and Shef Wed fans post 'solidarity' messages on here consoling us.
Woolfy*It’s dead in the water for us, hence why we are now after the wolf
Lease or freehold you'd need to work with the council or local authorities, you can't just carry out development without the correct planning in place firstWe’d have always been there forever. Just saying we don’t own it, we’re leasing it and will still need a working relationship with the council as our landlord if for example we want to develop it.
No conversations happened because Sisu only wanted the freehold. They didn’t think the leasehold was worth having. The council were always happy to sell ACL and in fact had to once CCFC left. Sisu hoped they would sell the freehold but councils don’t generally. Wasps understood this basic fact of local authorities, didn’t try and get it through court, and made and offer and got it. The football club could have done that at every time but every time it was mentioned they said they wanted the freehold. “Two turkeys doesn’t make an eagle” and all that.
The real problem it seems was Sisu were skint a needed it for free. By the time tha changed Ashley was on the scene.
I know we love to hate a politician on here but the SBT lore on this is just insane. The idea there were teams of evil councillors plotting against the club they support was always up there with GIMOCS contrails for biggest conspiracy nonsense on here.
And CollinsSo Wolfy and Godo for the two ins with Bassette leaving?
Of course we all know that clubs renting football stadiums never end up in rent disputes and playing in another fucking city. We’d have always been there forever.
The Council were 100% willing to see the football club die to spite SISU. Absolute fact.Gotta weigh in on that last paragraph
The council let so many things slide with wasps. Safety Certificates being one, any non morally bankrupt council would have had that place shut down by 2018 as it was literally unsafe with things such as certain electrics etc in there.
The bailouts which were public were bad enough, but the cloak and dagger behaviour and covering up of things such as emails etc was as bad
And I know il probably get the 'oh its saddle bollocks again', if so fair enough. But as I said at the time wasps went tits, a good friend of mine worked for CCC for years, and he could not believe just what the council were doing for them, and letting them get away with, just to save face on their "city of rugby" cock up. They knew theyd nailed their colours to the wrong mast within 3 years and couldnt be seen to fail
This is why he contacted Gilbert and informed him of the meeting that had taken place in which it was discussed and almost agreed, to bailouts wasps out with Coventry Taxpayer money in November 2022. He had enough of it, and if it cost him his job so be it. That is why Gilbert spilled the beans, that is why everyone turned so quick, and that is why wasps failed when they did. Luckily he didnt lose his job as they couldnt prove it was him who tipped the press off, he has since left and the stories he has from the whole sorry debacle are enough to make skin crawl
Duggins, Lucas, Maton et al are absolute scum, who should be matched through the city and pelted with fruit
How Duggins is still Council leader makes my blood boil
