"I wanted to get it done from the moment I didn't get it done in November 20222. A lot of investment has gone on since then as it wasn't in great shape. I'm on cloud nine because it's done and I know how what it means to the community. There's a 230-year leasehold and we're here for ever if we don't muck up.

"This has never been in place before. It should never have gone away but it's done now. The Arena has got a hotel, casino, concerts, land around it which are all things other clubs are trying to do. We need to develop it properly and sustainably and it needs to be done via the brand of the football club.

"Everything here is now with the football club. We’ve been close (to the PL) and I feel good about this season. We’re ready. The head coach and his team are working well and I feel good about what I’m seeing. I’m not saying we will or we won’t but we will give it a good go. I believe and everyone should."
