Fucking hell the coverage of Gyokeres has been negative for what is an hour of game time. Barely had a pre season, playing with an entirely new side who aren’t playing to his strengths, and made his debut in a notoriously difficult fixture.

It’s like certain sections of the media couldn’t wait to start slagging him off and have already written him off as a flop. Hope he scores a hattrick next game.

It’s the nature of playing for a big club, especially in the current environment where ragebait sells. People are looking for any reason to have a go at the big clubs and their signings.

One of the big things about Potter, is that he`s got such an odd detached persona, which makes him come across as distant and aloof.

My missus is from York and years ago when we first met, I`d go and watch York City, to get my weekend footy fix, when I was staying with her and Potter was one of the full backs for them.

He was a good player in the old league 2 level, fast and athletic, more like a wing back before wing backs had been invented.

He`d be having a good game, doing a great job on the winger, then out of the blue and for no reason, he`d just kick the winger up in the air or almost snap him in two and calmly walk off without even looking to see of the ref was going to send him off :ROFLMAO:

Surprised some US consortium or Saudi/Qatari hasn’t bought West Ham, they seem ready made to be turned into a top club.

Not that we need more dodgy owners in football.

Find it odd how his managerial reputation far outweighs his managerial statistics.

West Ham are bad the players don’t suit Potterball, if I was Bowen I would be asking for a transfer if his father in law will allow that.

It’s a bad sign for West Ham that they’ve been turned over twice now and have no fight in them for a derby game with Chelsea.

just look like they accepted they were gonna lose when Chelsea went ahead

I still don’t think Chelsea are a title challenging side yet on the level of Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City. They should get top 4 definitely though. In 2/3 years some of these players they’ve brought should be hitting their stride.
