Surely it can’t be more boring than the one where our only perm was Kasey Palmer?Genuinely THE most boring teansfer window ever
Currently in Florida - wake up each morning looking forward to at least a solid rumour! Nothing!! Very boring.Genuinely THE most boring teansfer window ever
Oh I don't know. The one where Palmer was our big signing and we spent the whole window waiting for O'Hare to go to Burnley only to get injured instead has to take the cake?Genuinely THE most boring teansfer window ever
The one before our first season at the Ricoh was spent mostly worrying about whether or not Stephen Hughes would sign a contract extension. Our 'big money' signing was a nominal fee for Matt Heath...Oh I don't know. Some on here think it was a great deal and one we should have doneI still can't believe at that deal, someone said on X I think that Man City done Burnley over with Trafford deal and now Wrexham, must be laughing at what they got
Crazy how they've managed to secure so many wealthy investors so quickly. There doesn't appear to be any problem spending money.Partly jealous Wrexham can have the mentality of don’t worry when it comes to spending five million.
Just operating on a different planet from us
The only thing I remember about Matt Heath is that in the picture of him in the ccfc calendar for that year he looked like he had an enormous package. The one before our first season at the Ricoh was spent mostly worrying about whether or not Stephen Hughes would sign a contract extension. ATM, I think there squad is more unbalanced then ours (expected as half are still from the league one days).Crazy how they've managed to secure so many wealthy investors so quickly. There doesn't appear to be any problem spending money.
It will be interesting to see how they get on, could they do an Ipswich and go up, or will it all end in tears?
I think he scored a consolation goal against Crystal Palace after we'd gone in 0-4 at half time. The summer was a weird one though, on the eve of the season Micky Adams said 'look we were really shit last season so let's be realistic'. We have already spent more in this window on one player than we did in all the ones from 2002-2006 combined...The only thing I remember about Matt Heath is that in the picture of him in the ccfc calendar for that year he looked like he had an enormous package.
For the most part incredibly positive comments from their fanbase. Some funny comments on there forum:
Forum | Woolfie at the back! by Wallingford_Boy
Such a smooth centre back, so calm, brilliant on the ball. I do hope he stays.www.twtd.co.uk
Forum | How much will Woolfie go for? by melbs_itfc
Of course it will be very sad to see Woolfie leave (if indeed he does end up going) but what will the fee be? My guess would be around 5-6 million even if that includes top-ups. What are everyone’swww.twtd.co.uk
I like the one where their poster suggested Sheaf+£5m for Woolfenden
Fucking hell, they've not seen Sheaf for a while have they. Then again, no one has.
Assuming you mean senior players, that would leave us with 26 players. Who do we pay to not play? Dovin, because he's injured, or Collins because...3 players in 1 out…
by end of next week we should have a few more in and some will move.
It’s going to be a busy week. Problem with quality signings is you have to wait for other clubs to have the replacement lined up. Bit like a house purchase chain.
I suggested de-registering Dovin until January and going with the 3 keepers. That leaves 22 outfield + Under 21s which seems doableAssuming you mean senior players, that would leave us with 26 players. Who do we pay to not play? Dovin, because he's injured, or Collins because...
Personally I would rather miss out on a player no matter how good, than encourage those kind of deals. A) it could encourage the big selling clubs to try this more often, and B) it would take away a critical source of potential income for the smaller clubs. Just my opinion. That's no panic, that's a top quality signing.
They've conceded 5 goals in 2 league games so far, so bringing in a top CH makes perfect sense.
De register both Collins and Dovin.I suggested de-registering Dovin until January and going with the 3 keepers. That leaves 22 outfield + Under 21s which seems doable
I would of loved us to signed Doyle but would never in million years agree to that lolSome on here think it was a great deal and one we should have done![]()
I see where your coming from, so long as Rushworth is as good as hoped.I suggested de-registering Dovin until January and going with the 3 keepers. That leaves 22 outfield + Under 21s which seems doable
Have you a suggestion?Serious cope.
We have 3 CB's. If the window closes its disgraceful. We are an injury away from Bidwell being our starting CB
To be fair I'd be worried, if Sheaf picks up the phone to his agent to let him know he's going to Ipswich he might pick up an injury! Same with Collins I heard he got a call from his agent saying he's going but apparently he missed his call
This stinks of us having 3 professional CB's a week ahead of the deadline.Have you a suggestion?
Pay over the odds for a target or panic buy a CB not good enough for a few million?
This stinks of last January where people were jealous of Hull and their signings. Look where it got them.
GoshThis stinks of us having 3 professional CB's a week ahead of the deadline.
Its poor no matter the way you try and spin it.
That's weirdNo I'd just offer something a lot more realistic.
You probably offer £1 for a pair of used knickers on facebook marketplace.
oh and its I before E except after C.
If he was a 'top' CB there would have been interest from Prem sides. If he was a 'top' Championship player the top Championship sides would have been interested at a fair price. But Manchester City have had their pants down if what has been reported is correct. Either he isn't a 'top' Championship player or there's something wrong with the deal. That's no panic, that's a top quality signing.

The Inbetweeners chat yesterday has given the CCFC social media team ample material to work with for the unveiling. Get it done.
