Would love it if club officials, from any club, replied to those X posts saying it’s complete bullshit.

We're being linked with a CB who got promoted from the league at 24, played in the prem last year and is now 26 and people are trying to say it's not a good signing? He's a year older than Kitch ffs

3 players in 1 out…

by end of next week we should have a few more in and some will move.

It’s going to be a busy week. Problem with quality signings is you have to wait for other clubs to have the replacement lined up. Bit like a house purchase chain.

Oh I don't know. The one where Palmer was our big signing and we spent the whole window waiting for O'Hare to go to Burnley only to get injured instead has to take the cake?
The one before our first season at the Ricoh was spent mostly worrying about whether or not Stephen Hughes would sign a contract extension. Our 'big money' signing was a nominal fee for Matt Heath...

Partly jealous Wrexham can have the mentality of don’t worry when it comes to spending five million.

Just operating on a different planet from us
Crazy how they've managed to secure so many wealthy investors so quickly. There doesn't appear to be any problem spending money.

It will be interesting to see how they get on, could they do an Ipswich and go up, or will it all end in tears?

The only thing I remember about Matt Heath is that in the picture of him in the ccfc calendar for that year he looked like he had an enormous package.

ATM, I think there squad is more unbalanced then ours (expected as half are still from the league one days).

Dont rate Parkinson as a gaffer. I think they are at the most risk of going bust considering I doubt Disney will want a documentary of them finishing mid table every year.

We’ll see is probably the best answer

I think he scored a consolation goal against Crystal Palace after we'd gone in 0-4 at half time. The summer was a weird one though, on the eve of the season Micky Adams said 'look we were really shit last season so let's be realistic'. We have already spent more in this window on one player than we did in all the ones from 2002-2006 combined...

For the most part incredibly positive comments from their fanbase.

Assuming you mean senior players, that would leave us with 26 players. Who do we pay to not play? Dovin, because he's injured, or Collins because...

I suggested de-registering Dovin until January and going with the 3 keepers. That leaves 22 outfield + Under 21s which seems doable

That's no panic, that's a top quality signing.

They've conceded 5 goals in 2 league games so far, so bringing in a top CH makes perfect sense.
Personally I would rather miss out on a player no matter how good, than encourage those kind of deals. A) it could encourage the big selling clubs to try this more often, and B) it would take away a critical source of potential income for the smaller clubs. Just my opinion.

I'm in on Woolfie now, like others I assumed he was much older. I think he's a good shout experience wise and should help out settle the current bunch.

Get that done along with Godo this week then have a punt at a few loans as the window closes.

Serious cope.

We have 3 CB's. If the window closes its disgraceful. We are an injury away from Bidwell being our starting CB
Have you a suggestion?

Pay over the odds for a target or panic buy a CB not good enough for a few million?

This stinks of last January where people were jealous of Hull and their signings. Look where it got them.

This stinks of us having 3 professional CB's a week ahead of the deadline.

Its poor no matter the way you try and spin it.

Lampard has made no secret of the fact that he’s in the market for a new centre-half to replace Luis Binks – with City having made bids for Hull’s Charlie Hughes and Ipswich’s Luke Woolfenden – while the club was this week reported to have made a bid for Fulham winger Martial Godo, suggesting he wants to strengthen on the left flank as well.

He added: “I’m happy with how we’re training and playing. Do I want to help the squad to get it strong for the course of the season we’ve got coming? Yes, I think we all want to do that. So if we can, we will do and it’s as simple as that.”

But Lampard reiterated his stance on the subject of potential out-goings and hinted that the above players are happy at the CBS Arena, insisting: “We want to keep our best and strongest players and I hope they want to stay here. And the feeling is that the lads are enjoying coming to work. That’s my real feeling as a group.

“And if we can add to it, we can and should, and if it’s right for us then we’ll do that. And it’s key because the endurance test of this season, if you look back at successful teams, whether it be a Leeds last year, whether it be in Ipswich two years ago, there was depth to their squads in all areas, to be fair, for the challenges that will come from fitness – all these things.

“So I’m very aware of that and we all are here, so we want to try and get the squad in the best place.”

If he was a 'top' CB there would have been interest from Prem sides. If he was a 'top' Championship player the top Championship sides would have been interested at a fair price. But Manchester City have had their pants down if what has been reported is correct. Either he isn't a 'top' Championship player or there's something wrong with the deal.

Can't believe we didn't have a clause inserted for Hyam when he went or Binks for that matter, then when this particular approach gets boring hey presto!
