Given his contract length i think you'd be looking at a record outward transfer fee. Think he'll have a better career than Hamer, Vik might be pushing it, that guy went to another level.

As much as I like Rudi and his goal instinct in particular. He’s not having the same impact on games Hamer or Vik were at his age.

Rudi at 24 vs Hamer at 24? Strong disagree. I'm saying that as someone who was a Hamer fan from the off.
Time will tell, I don't bet but if i did i would bet that by age 28, the peak of Rudonis career won't be 1 season in the Prem in one of the worst teams ever to play in it.

If you offered me Hamer aged 24, start of his second season or Rudi I’d take Hamer. Rudi still had a lot to learn about how to hurt teams that comes almost instinctually to Hamer. Hamer was always far less likely to run himself into trouble or overplay the ball and lose possession and was always looking to get us up the pitch. His set pieces were a danger from day 1. Rudi is class at this level on the ball but in the PL would just be another skilful player, you’d be buying him hoping he improves. Hamer was brought to go straight in and impact the team and he did. For me Rudi has more to learn. His ceiling may be higher, but the chair he’s sitting on is slightly lower or whatever the analogy is.

Disagree but that's ok. Hamers great don't get be wrong, i just see Rudoni as more 'Prem' and that being the case, make them pay for it. Especially a modern day financial powerhouse like Newcastle.

On a pure “oh shits per 90” I have Hamer ahead but that’s OK

Oh Hamer is more fun, but i think he's more fun than a lot of current Prem midfielders too. I don't think that makes him 'better' though, otherwise he'd probably be there.
I do really want him to leave this league though, the Blunts are creaking already, if he leaves i think it all comes crashing down.

If we're going to continue this style of play we need a target man. Someone who can hold the ball up with his back to goal and someone who can get on the end of the never ending crosses.

Ipswich have just signed Akpom, maybe George Hirst might become available. Someone like him anyway.

Take James Trafford out of the equation, how many times in recent history has a club that is qualified for the Champions League shopped for Championship players?

I just can't see it happening this window at that price. They need to go for bigger and better, especially if they get £140m from Isak

been saying all summer. Carlton Morris or Kiefer Moore. Low cost experienced champ massive lumps up front who hold the ball up and head it fairly well. A bit of aggression.

I kept getting told they aren’t good enough, well Morris scored and Moore had a good game even just one game in. We are a crossing team and balls in the box . Let’s play BTA. Brilliant

Been banging the drum all summer for Salech. Really feel an aggressive target forward would really help.

Simms should be perfect for this system but seems to have been frozen out by Lampard again. Maybe he’s trying to get a rise out of him or something but seems to be off

Same. Carlton Morris would have been a perfect fit for our system.

Didn’t Moore get injured at the weekend and it could be long term, it will be bad enough watching Morris Saturday with his theatrical falling over and waving his arms for every slight touch. It was bad enough watching BTA diving all over the place Saturday

I agree but Morris would be a target and a fight for us. He isn’t great but suits our system. For relative low cost.

Was thinking the same watching Derby on Saturday. Would fit right in our to our play and would've been 100% more effective than our current options.

Said it at the start of the window, but the idea was dismissed. He’s a shithouse but for the specific football we play. Morris holds the ball up and would get on the end of crosses

I dont want any of them, ultimately whoever we sign is going to need to challenge Wright but ultimately play second fiddle to him.
If we sign someone who's effective in the middle of that front 3, there's every chance they won't play second fiddle to Wright. Can we stop pretending he's great in that central position too? He's better than the others there but that's not saying much.

To sign I bet his wages post Luton are huge, give Simms a go and then bring on BTA to run around like a headless chicken.
BTA headless chicken! I prefer his other nickname of Keith Lemon 🤣🤣

We can get him back out wide and see if we can find a mug to pay us for EMC

The CF issue is about balance. We’ve got two of our best performers who like to play left side. We’ve got two okay CF’s but one who has a truly weird playing demeanour to the extent he can’t get a game.

One of our best players and some bloke that we overpaid Peterborough for.

I disagree on EMC, he's far from one of our biggest problems. I do like Wright on the left though, but i fear Lampard doesn't, which is one thing i'd disagree with him massively on.
EMC does nothing he finally took his man on in the second half beat him him and then switched off again, hopelessly one footed, he just wants to show how he can hold off the full back and never take him on he’s a passenger
