I normally have a few beers and get a taxi after the game but I need to get into town earlier today. What's the crack with the train these days? Is it still stopped for a period after the game? Timetables suggest its running as normal.

2-1 win today. One of either Simms or BTA simply has to be better this season so I'll back whichever one starts to score and then the obvious, Rudoni.

Love the first game of a new season. Sunny day, walking up those steps and seeing the pitch again (feels different to those pointless friendlies).

These hours before the game when you feel anything is possible.

We have, in theory, a favourable first few games, so let's not fuck it up eh, Frank?

Can't believe the season is already starting again. Only feels like yesterday since the last one finished.

2-0 win, but first fixture of the season can bring up some weird results

I think the thing that concerns me the most is often in the Championship, we (and others) are completely at the mercy of a referee. Couple of poor decisions (Plymouth last season…) and it doesn’t really matter if you’re the better team.

The other thing is, we could play really well, still lose, and people on here will have a meltdown saying we deserved it. They won’t take in the nuances of the game and won’t acknowledge luck and football chaos can sometimes be the deciding factors.

But also, I’m still looking forward to the in game match thread 🤣

Looking about 28.5k
Would imagine that's about right. 590 seats left according to my magical seat counter, but it's been fluctuating as they open more areas. Back area of 5, and 24/25/26 are the big blocks of seats left, and as we know, hospitality will be nowhere near capacity.

I think this is a huge season for ellis in terms of his future here and I fancy him to have a better season than last year .
Me too. Hopefully starting with a goal today!

He really does have the attributes to transform us from playoff contender to auto contender if he gets it right
